Clashes | Bakugou x Reader

"What was that noise?!" Ashido exclaimed.

"That sounded like it came from where Bakugou and Y/n were patrolling." Kirishima replied worriedly. "I see smoke."

"We're closest. We should go help them." Iida said and the other two nodded running down the street they were on.

Aizawa could see smoke. Damn it, what's going on? I'm too far from the fire. The students should be able to handle it. They'll be fine. But just in case...gotta hurry.

"Here water." Bakugou said handing Y/n a bottle.

"Thanks." She coughed out, downing it in a few gulps. "Another." She demanded holding out a hand. Bakugou complied.

"We need to put the fire out. Are you strong enough?"

"Yeah but I think you need to carry me." She said with a pained smile.

Bakugou scoffed but scooped her up in his arms once again.

Y/n sighed. "Man, I could get used to this."

"Shut up dumbass. This is a one time thing."

Y/n chuckled, "We'll see, porcupine."

Arriving back at the house, the flames had grown stronger. Bakugou set Y/n down gently keeping a hand on her back to steady her.

"God, this may take more energy than I thought." She groaned

"Just focus on stopping it from spreading. We're lucky it's far from the other houses."

Y/n nodded and closed her eyes. Raising her hands she concentrated on the water molecules in the air bringing them together to form rain clouds around the edges of the flame. She could feel her quirk working to heal her simultaneously.

Bakugou watched her in awe noting the bruises on her body slowly fading and the wound on her forehead closing, likely from the water she'd just drank.

An arrow whistled past narrowly missing Bakugou as he dodged pulling Y/n out of harms way.

"Bakugou what was that?" Y/n said breaking her concentration as the rain ceased.

"We have company. Concentrate on putting the fire out, I'll take care of these guys."

"But-"

"Hey! You better not be questioning my strength. I can take care of a few measly rats, got it?"

Y/n smiled. "Of course. How could I ever doubt Lord Explosion Murder." She teased.

"Damn right."

Bakugou turned and shouted, "Alright cowards show your faces."

"What have we got here. A couple of baby heroes?" One of them sneered.

"What did you do with our boss?" The other, the one who fired the arrow, demanded.

"We didn't do anything you damn idiots."

"Please. Like we believe that." The first one said rolling his eyes.

"Oh well. We don't like heroes do we Don?" The archer asked his partner.

"No siree, Ark." Don replied.

"Time to die then kiddos." Ark grinned.

"You can try." Bakugou grinned back, flying towards them propelled by his explosions.

5 mins later

"Pathetic." Bakugou scoffed looking down at the two villains. "Now, tell me who set the fire?"

"It wasn't us!" Don cried.

"Useless." Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Hey dumbass you done yet?"

Y/n finally put out the last of the fire, sweating a little from exhaustion and the strain her quirk puts on her body, she turned to face Bakugou who was holding the two villains by the scruff of their neck.

"Yeah."

"Bind these two together."

"Not even a please?" Y/n complained but did as he'd demanded. "We need to regroup with the class, find Mr Aizawa and put these two in jail."

"Yeah yeah, don't tell me what to do dumbass."

"You're an asshole."

"Can you walk?"

"Yeah don't worry I'm good as new. You need help carrying those two?"

"Don't be stupid. You were injured a few minutes ago."

"Awww you care about me?"

"Shut up."

The two went on to meet up with Ashido, Kirishima and Iida who reached them first. Soon enough the rest of 1A regrouped near the school bus and Aizawa and a police officer took the two villains away.

"What happened?" Aizawa questioned the two tired kids.

Y/n quickly recounted the events that happened. Aizawa nodded, "You handled the situation well. I'll refer this to the local hero agency, maybe they'll find this boss those two were talking about."

"Yes sir." The two chimed.

"There's one day left of the school week. Take tomorrow off."

"Yes sir."

Later that evening

1A were making their way back to their dorm tired after their long day patrolling and long journey back home. This time Bakugou had fallen asleep on Y/n which she didn't actually mind considering all he'd done for her today. That didn't mean she was gonna be nice to him about it though.

"Did you enjoy your beauty sleep asshole?" Y/n teased.

"Oi, shut up dumbass. At least I don't snore."

Y/n gasped. "How dare you! I don't snore."

"Yes, you do. Like a big bear."

"Well at least I don't drool like you!"

"Tch. I don't drool idiot."

"YOU SO DO. I have the wet patch to prove it! Nasty ass hedgehog."

"Shut up, princess." Bakugou retorted but Y/n could see the hint of a smile on his face.

Most of 1A had piled into the lifts. Bakugou and Y/n being one of the last ones in had opted for the stairs. Bakugou snatched Y/n's bag from her hand, "Hey! Give that back!" 

"No."

"What do you mean no?!"

"No means no, idiot. You think I don't see you struggling to hold it?"

"I'm not struggling!"

"Please." Bakugou rolled his eyes. "You bought a 700 page book today and you're totally not struggling to hold the bag. You almost toppled over on the first flight."

Y/n huffed. "Fine. My loyal servant I give you permission to carry my bag."

Bakugou resisted the urge to chuck it at her.

Finally they reached their floor. The two awkwardly faced each other at the top of the stairs. Y/n struggling to word how she'd say thank you to Bakugou and Bakugou struggling with how to tell her to take care of herself. 

"Hey Bakugou?"

"Yeah, dumbass?"

"I just wanted to say- Woah" Y/n stumbled throwing a hand out to balance herself.

"What's wrong?" Bakugou asked confused.

"I'm- I'm seeing stars. That's not normal is it?"

"Wha-Y/N!"
