Chapter 10. Mine someday?

I had let my brother and the others go on without me. I've had enough with his antics I'm tired of dealing with creepy things.

I love My brother but come on.

Meng Yao is supposed to be back soon. It's now nighttime and I'm worried about my brothers.

I decided to explore the area while Nie Huaisang stayed back at the bar or inn. It was pretty at night. I was pretty anxiety-prone around large groups of people but it was not as many people out at night. I did however need to be careful at night around people that I didn't know.

I notice an influx of drunk people around so I decided it was best to just return to the Inn and wait for Meng Yao to return. Unlike Wei Wuxian, I kept my money. So I could buy whatever I wanted. I had bought a small bag of candy and a small snake hairpin for Madam Yu. She dislikes me and my brother but maybe one day she will come around to not hating us If I keep showering her in gifts. Yanli will be happy cause I got her a pink ink stick.

I only buy things that I can hide in my money bag. I like to hide things I buy. It's one of the weird traits I buy a book and hide it under my mattress for no reason at some point Xian's mattress was filled with various papers and books. I stopped doing this now and I put books and Papers on a bookshelf. I still keep things in my money pouch after I buy them sometimes for days on end until I get an allowance and clean it out. The candy I hid in my clothing.

I looked around noticing that Teng Jian's disciples were roaming the streets like lost puppies looking around. One of the younger ones looked over and his eyes light up. He short compared to me, had his hair in a simple bun with no hairpins.

He ran over to me. "Lady Wei," He said catching his breath "I'm so glad I found you Clan leader Teng was run off again," He said clearly annoyed but stressed.

"I'm sure he is around he was supposed to chat with Clan leader Nie," I said the disciple nodded his head

"We went there but when we left he ditched us like before," He said.

"Hmm," I thought "I have no idea where he could have went"

"Maybe if we stick with you he will show up," He said I reluctantly nodded. "He finds a way to find you Lady Wei and If he knows your here he will surely track you"

"That Man is like my stalker in some ways," I said. Teng Jian needs to stop abandoning his men like this. He gets this habit from me he doesn't like people like me but he hates to be around them I started him on this when we were kids.

"Well...He is attracted to you so" The disciple said "Oh I'm Yao Huo" He introduced himself with a quick bow. He relayed the information to the other disciples who nodded.

I took them back to the Inn where Nie Huaisang was he looked up from his food and looked confused.

"So," Nie Huaisang said staring at The small army of about 5 disples trailing behind me. "Why.."

"Teng Jian abandoned them on the street and they believe he will track me down so they decided to follow me" I explained to him in detail. He nodded.

The disciples sat at various tables around the room. I watched as they ordered food and just chatted.

Not 10 minutes later Meng Yao showed up. He stared at me sitting with Nie Huaisang. I explained how we got here and everything. I explained how the others went to the Chang clan.

I think it's safe to assume that Meng Yao was not expecting to see me here. Teng Jian's disciples ran off somewhere in a hurry.

"I think you should go after them" Nie Huaisang noted.
