Chapter 9. Rescue?

Jiang Cheng walked out from behind the statue looking naturally fed up with everything. Xian ran over and threw an arm around his shoulders.

"What are you doing here," I asked walking over to the two boys. Jiang Cheng took notice of Teng Jian quickly shooting me a knowing look.

"You can come. Why can't I?" Jiang cheng said annoyed at him. "It's fun to travel around all the way, isn't it?" He asked annoyed at us.

"Without you harping on me, I am much more at ease." Wei Wuxian said Jiang Cheng looked angry

"You have the nerve," He said raising his hand to hit him. "You both just disappeared with a note left. Do you know how worried I... how worried my sister is?"

I giggled. Teng Jian rolled his eyes as Xian hid behind Nie Huaisang.

"Bro Jiang If you wanted to frighten Brother Wei, that's OK. Why did you even upset me and Bro Lan? We are...The silencing charm is lifted?" Nie Huaisang. said annoyed at first then really happy now that the Charm had been lifted.

"I'm upset for the journey to here because of you guys ." Jiang cheng stated. 

"Well," I said looking over at the 3 boys "You could have stayed home"

He scoffed at that.

"you're not Excused by this either," Jiang Cheng said scolding me.

"All right, Jiang Cheng. It was me who wanted to follow Lan Zhan Wei Tian only followed me cause she was worried. You can't blame them." Xian said to Jiang Cheng who looked like he was annoyed and over the situation.

"I haven't blamed you yet. You're speaking for him. I don't know what you're going to do. But you have seen how dangerous it is. But for Miss Wen this time..." Jiang cheng said scolding Xian and me.

"Wen Qing also has come here?" I asked Jiang cheng

He thought for a second with furrowed brows.

"Damn it. How long after the whistle stopped? I hope that Miss Wen is not in danger." Jiang Cheng said worriedly.

"Miss Wen" Xian called as we ran up to Wen Qing. She looked like she was trying to get the dire owl to fly down so she could kill it.

"It's the Dire Owl again. Is Wen Chao nearby? Why on earth does he want to kill us?" Nie Huaisang asked annoyed.

"Cause he's a bad person," I said looking at him Teng Jian nodded. "Miss Wen are you alright" Me and Jiang Cheng asked her.

"Childe Jiang. Didn't I tell you to save them and leave?" Wen Qing asked Jiang Cheng.

"Miss Wen Why are you here," Xian asked. we stayed in silence until we noticed the puppets started moving again.

"They're coming again," Nie Huaisang said pointing at them with his fan. as they slowly started moving around again.

Lan Zhan used a spiritual barrier that prevented them from moving forward.

"You should leave now" Lady Wen told us

"Come with us" Xian suggested. she shook her head

"Childe Jiang, you promised me. You would listen to me for coming here. Take them away quickly." Lady Wen told Jiang cheng.

"You can't save them, Miss Wen. You should go before it's too late." Jiang Cheng said quickly.

"You know how to save them?" Lan Zhan asked her.
