The Moon Princess sighed sadly from her perch on the cliff. Her lower legs dangled down and swung as the beautiful moon princess looked up at the night sky with billions of shining stars illuminating it. All the princess has ever seen when she looked up at the sky were stars. She has lived for so many centuries yet she always takes on her sixteen year old form. She was immortal and all her life she has never seen anything but the night sky every time she looks up. The princess frowned as she remembered something from when she was a little girl. A different color besides blue and white and dark colors. There was one color that had her frowning in confusion. The color yellow. She remembered asking her mother once when she was a child and all she received as an answer was that it was a rare and blessed sight to see the color yellow. Her father, on the other hand, didn't seem to think yellow was a blessing rather than an outcast of a color. Although, the Moon Princess knew her father didn't really view the color yellow as an abomination.

"Lady Hinata." a familiar voice called out to her drawing her from her thoughts of the beautiful, mysterious color yellow.

Hinata made no move of getting up but turned and watched silently as her dear cousin ran up to her as if he were in a hurry.

"Do you know what tomorrow is?" her cousin asked sitting himself down beside her and both gazed up at the endless night sky.

"I do. The day of the Eclipse. Neji nii-san, why do father and mother always hide me from the Eclipse?"

Neji shrugged. "I do not know. Not even I have seen the Eclipse before."

Hinata allowed a tiny frown to fall upon her flawless pale face. "Everybody dear to me is always being hidden from the Eclipse."

"Perhaps, the Eclipse is dangerous and your parents are only protecting you." Neji suggested.

Lavender orbs glanced at her cousin's uncaring face. Hinata, on the other hand, could not feel uncaring about the entire situation as her dear cousin.

"The King and Queen sent me to inform you that tomorrow morning you are to stay in the castle at all times along with everybody else. You are to not leave." Neji informed her and stood up.

Hinata remained sitting. 'I understand."

Neji scanned his cousin's face for something but upon not finding it he walked back to the castle.

Hinata's thoughts began to revolve around the bright color yellow. Her eyes lowered in slight shame for the thought that ran through her mind. Hinata always wondered why her parents hid her when the Eclipse came. Maybe tomorrow that could come to an end. Tomorrow, she could use one of the secret passageways traveling underneath the castle and finally discover why she had to hide from the Eclipse. She couldn't help feeling the Eclipse had some connection to the bright color yellow.

Yellow reminded Hinata of warmth. The same warmth she felt when her mother hugged her goodnight. It left a good feeling within Hinata. Breathing deeply, Hinata had to make a decision. Either she did as her parents asked of her or she sneaks out to find out the truth behind the eclipse. She closed her eyes and a few seconds later opened them with a determined gleam flashing in them. Her decision was set and nothing could sway her. Hinata promised she would get to the bottom of this mystery. And Hinata never goes back on her promise.

The King and Queen walked away from the castle early in the morning minutes prior to the Eclipse. Sometimes, it was hard to tell if it was morning on the moon since the sky remained an endless dark blue with stars dotting all around. Neji stayed by Hinata's side as the doors closed and the curtains were all pulled down blocking the outside from those inside the castle's walls.

"I am going to be in my room Neji nii san." Hinata informed her overprotective cousin.

Neji nodded and left to return to his own room. Hinata moved quickly as the Eclipse only lasted a few minutes. Eight minutes at the most. Quickly, Hinata put on a black cloak over her dark purple kimono and traveled down into the secret passageways. The moon princess pushed with all her might on the door restricting her from the outside. Soon, the door began to creak and open under the force the princess was exerting on it. Strange yellow light was seeping from the other side of the door and startled the princess stopped her movements. Hesitantly, she reached her arm and watched in fascination as the yellow light harmlessly covered her hand. With renewed determination, Hinata pushed even harder and a minute later the door opened and yellow light touched Hinata everywhere. Hinata's pearl white eyes widened as she looked up at the sky. No longer was there only dark blue and white stars. Now, light blue and yellow mingled together. Hinata covered her mouth with her hands and slowly walked forward and felt the warmth of the sun caress her. The immortal princess began to giggle but then the giggle turned into joyous laughter. Tears trailed down her cheeks. Hinata untied the cloak from around her and let it drop to the ground. She began to twirl in circles in her dark purple kimono with her arms spread out and face tilted up to the sky although she made sure to close her eyes as the brightness slightly burned her eyes.

"Woah." an unfamiliar voice breathed out a few feet from Hinata startling her.

Gasping, Hinata whirled around to discover a a sixteen year old boy. His appearance was unlike anything she has ever seen. All her life, the people around her had dark hair colors and they were only brown or black. Their skin was always pale and their clothing was always some dull colors. The boy in front of her was none of those people she was around all her life. He had yellow(blonde) hair and his eyes were a bright blue unlike the white orbs she had. His skin was tan instead of pale. Although his clothing was not as bright as his physical appearance. He wore a collared dress shirt and black pants. Over he wore a black trench like cloak. His forehead was covered with a black headband with an orange swirl drawn in the center.

They didn't say anything to each other for a few minutes until Hinata remembered time was quickly passing and so were opportunities.

Only three minutes were left before the Eclipse ended and when that happened, Hinata would never be able to have a chance like this until another century. She couldn't wait that long. Leaping forward, she hesitantly grabbed on of the boy's hands startling him as his eyes widened.

"What ar-"

"Let me go with you." Hinata said desperatly as two minutes remained.

The blonde boy didn't reply but as Hinata watched him she could gather that he too was curious on who she was and the mystery behind the Eclipse.

"You won't be seeing your family for years." the blue eyed boy said.

Hinata lavender eyes stared straight into the boy's blue eyes.

"I Know."

Only seconds remained and the yellow color began to fade as the night sky began to reign supreme over the moon. The Sun Prince grabbed onto the Moon Princess's hand and they both began to run together away from the moon and into the receding yellow light, into the sun.
