Calebs pov

I heard the sound of beeping repeatedly, the ever-present smell of a hospital. I heard distinct cries and whispers. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't, I tried to fight the drowsy feeling of sleep coming back. Before I dozed off again I heard muffled screams and someone fall onto my legs.

I woke up and opened my eyes, I was blinded by a bright light. Once I refocused I was found myself standing in a desert, with purple skies as clouds surrounding me. At least 50 feet in front of me stood a door. There was nothing in front or behind it, just a simple plain white door. I walked towards it and up closer there were gold detailing along the frame. The handle had what seemed like gold flecks floating around it?

I opened the door and a gust of wind pulled inside. I heard cheerful voices and felt warmth and happiness surrounding me. I felt myself being pulled up and pushed down on a chair. I focused my eyes again and I was in a field of flowers, sitting on a bench that seemed like it was connected to train tracks. I looked around me to see if anyone was near by, that could help me figure out where the hell I am, but alas no one. I stood up but realized my feet were 'glued' to the floor?

"Welcome! Long time no see friend! Stay calm, take a deep breath. Everything will be explained in a flash. I'm Laura and I'm the director of the AfterLife. I'll be your superior and/or guide. You can come to me for any questions or concerns you may have, and I'm guessing you have a lot. "

I heard a cheerful almost programmed-like voice, there was no one around me.

"Hello? How come I can't see you? And where the hell am I?!" I called out helpless and afraid. The last thing I remember was dancing with Rory at our spot. Oh, ohhh. Oh fuck.

"I am everything and anything you want me to be Caleb, right now I'm not a full human figure because you don't understand. If you think of something or someone I can become that easily. "

"Okay um. I'm thinking of someone but I still don't see you?" I heard a popping noise and a tall, brunette haired woman was standing in front of me. She wore a white pantsuit and slicked back hair. She had a comforting smile on her face.

"Hello Caleb. " she said with a smile.

"Hi. So. Is this a dream? How did I get here??"

"Well, you died Caleb. "

"But. But I thought I just was in a coma? I'm gonna be okay right. Am I gonna be able to go back? Please I need to go back. Send me back please. " I pleaded with tears bubbling up in my eyes. Laura looked at me, sympathy in her expression.

"Caleb, I know you want to go back. It would be impossible. I'm sorry sweetie. Come, let me show you around and you can meet everyone. "

"Everyone?" I felt another gust of wind and I opened my eyes and I was in a mob of people. Their where people who looked normal, people with purple skin and rainbow hair, people with wings, people with glowing eyes, and more. I looked around and suddenly felt self conscious about my messy blonde hair, my freckles and my tiny body compared to other creatures here.

I looked around to see Laura talking to someone with wavy light brown hair, ripped black jeans and a black band shirt on top of a neon green shirt. He noticed me staring in confusion and waves at me. I walked over awkwardly, still not really knowing what the hell is going on.

"Hey! I'm pride, Laura was just telling me that we have a newcomer around here. Apparently I'm the coolest person here and that I should be by your side so here i am!" He gave me a cheeky smile and I saw Laura shoot him a glare.

I talked with pride for a while, apparently he was 1 of the 7 deadly sins, and that his siblings were the rest. He showed me around and took me to all the secret spots. Lust, his sister would be joining us later to hang out. Honestly it wasn't that bad here, if I ignored the thought that the only girl that owned a piece of my heart was light years or a universe away. Or just really far away. Honestly I don't know where I am. All I know is I need Rory. I need her.
