"Come on Izu, just because he called you a broccoli hair doesn't mean you need to sulk for 3 hours."

Izuku was gently tapping his head on the wall of Aizawa's apartment, as he had been doing for two and a half hours. "What did he mean? What the hell does broccoli haired mean? What is the answer to life? What is my life? Why did he invite me to the most prestigious school in Japan?"

Aizawa sighed and dragged Izuku over to the couch and plopped him down. "You can't continue worrying about the same thing for hours straight."

Izuku blinked, "that's what I've been doing my entire life."

"Well- stop. Because it isn't going to get you anywhere."

"Well I know that.. But it's better then not worrying.. " Izuku mumbled.

"No, it's really not. You exhaust yourself, Izu." Aizawa sighed again, "you have to learn to let some things go. "

Izuku blew the hair out of his face, "letting things go is how you end up falling off a twelve story building.. But wouldn't you know so much about that zawa.." Izuku mumbled under his breath, remembering the time Aizawa almost commited scooter ankle via building.

Aizawa elected to ignore the smartass comment.

He sighed gently, getting up to clean off the counter to make dinner. "Come on Izu, you can help cook if you want."

Izuku looked up and smiled. Aizawa always knew how to take his mind off of things. Before he washed his hands he pulled out his phone, clicking on the Spotify app and turning on his liked songs playlist. Immediately a nice beat started playing and both Izuku and Aizawa started bopping their heads and swaying to the music.

Aizawa looked at him suspiciously. "I didn't know you had a teenaged angst phase."

"A-B-C-D-E-Fuck you, and your mom, and your sister and your job."

Izuku winked at him, "my entire personality is a teenaged angst phase. Why do you think My Chemical Romance is one of my favorite bands."

Aizawa rolled his eyes.

As Aizawa got everything out, Izuku got out a few things for desert. Peering into the fridge, he pulled out some cookie dough. As tempting as it was to just eat the dough by itself, he pulled out a few flat pans and started setting them on it. Once he was finished he turned the oven on preheat and started to help Aizawa.

While Izuku was doing this, Aizawa had looked up the song that was playing.

"You said you need space, And so I gave it. When I had nothin' to say you couldn't take it. Told everyone I'm a b*tch so I became it. Always had to put yourself above me."

Aizawa pondered the song, eventually deciding that he liked it and saved it.

Putting his phone down, he washed his hands and opened the fridge. Seeing some salad ingredients, he got them out, as well as some steak from the freezer and potatoes from the pantry.

Putting the potatoes in the microwave for a while, he went outside on the balcony of his apartment, where a grill awaited him. Hanging beside it was a pink apron that said "this shit is going to be delicious."

He nodded in satisfaction, said "damn right" and placed the apron over his head. Izuku had gotten him this a few months prior. After tying it, he turned on the grill.

He could hear from outside that the song had changed. Faintly he could hear "Call me a sinner, call me a saint
Tell me it's over, I'll still love you the same."

He sighed in amusement and continued what he was doing.

Izuku really was a trouble child.
