Volume 1 - Beggining of a new journey

The night before classes started at Beacon Academy Jack was walking around the town and buying some necessary equipment for him. He bought some school materials that he needed for his classes at Beacon, he didn't wanted to be those kids that would ask the classmates for materials and bother them. When he finished shopping for some materials he remembered that he also needed dust so he visited another store. When he arrived he saw a girl with a red hood that really brought attention but he would ignore her or avoid running into her or even anyone because he was new in Vale and wasn't gifted with much social skills. He bought the necessary dust and left the store and while he was at it he decided to call his parents to fill them in on how it was going.

"Hey mom i finally got some stuff that i needed for the classes, and also some dust for Myrradix" said Jack over the phone.

That was his weapon that he designed and made with his dad.

"Oh honey that's good, it's important to always be ready especially at Beacon since their Headmaster is quite special.." his mom said.

"You mean Ozpin? I have heard some stuff about him but don't worry I'll be ready for anything" said Jack.

As he was talking with his mom a strange group of men entered the store he just left, one of them had peculiar orange hair with a funny looking hat. Jack wasn't dumb and he knew they seemed suspicious.

"Hey mom there's something that i have to check out" he said.

"Wait sweetheart-" the call ended.

As he made his way to the store a man and what seemed to be a red hood came crashing through the window. Then he remembered the girl with the red hood, just when he remembered the girl pulled out a gun that suddenly turned into a huge scythe. Suddenly what seemed to be an innocent girl in a red hood became a full on battle machine and fought the group of guys that Jack was suspicious about. Then the guy with the funny looking hat came out and shot the girl. He thought the girl was down but she actually wasn't and he noticed that the guy was going up some stairs to the top of a building. Then an airship suddenly appeared and there was fire and some strange purple light and ruble flying everywhere and it all suddenly stopped.

"What the actual fuck just happened-" he thought.

Then he realized that it was all quiet as if nothing happened. Jack searched for the girl in the red hood but didn't saw her anywhere. Without nothing to do, he went back to the hotel he was staying at. At the hotel he took a nice shower and decided to prepare his equipment for the next day. He reloaded Myrradix with dust and sharpened it's edges. Myrradix was a claymore that could transform into a sniper rifle and a scythe. He loved weapons so he designed it with different abilities to satisfy his liking. Before he went to bed he served himself a cup of coffee, he loved drinking it. He went outside to his balcony and could see the green lanterns that the Beacon tower had from his balcony. He got lost in thought thinking about what being in Beacon would be like.

"Man, it's nerve racking yet awesome at the same time that I'm actually entering an academy" he thought.

Then he realized he already had drank his coffee. He then went too sleep, sadly he couldn't get much rest because of the cup of coffee he had that had quite a lot of sugar because that's how he liked it and the excitement from the thought of going to Beacon. He at least got 4 hours of sleep and woke up extremely tired. The next morning he woke up and took a quick shower and made himself some toast with butter that at least gave him some energy. Then he checked out at the front desk and made his way to the Beacon Airship station. When Jack got there he couldn't believe what he was seeing. There was a ton of students with a variety of weapons. His anxiety was kicking in but he was able to control himself then made his way into the ship. After that the ship finally took off and slowly made it's way too Beacon Academy. Somewhere else Katy was walking around the ship and found a place to seat in a "cool" way. She was looking at every student that walked in front of her. Then she saw someone that didn't expect to find there.

"We'll look who is here, Yang Xiao Long I see" she said behind Yang's back.

"Oh hey Katy! didn't expect you to be entertaining Beacon, Ruby this is Katy one of my friends" Katy then looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Friends? I see her more as a rival but anyway nice to meet you Ruby, i like your outfit and that hood goes perfect with it". Ruby was flustered.

"I- uhm thanks and nice too meet you!". Katy put her hand on her forehead and made a peace sign.

"Well I'll be seeing you around" they said goodbye and Katy kept exploring the ship.

Then James walked beside her and made his way to the front window of the ship and then he saw a familiar figure with a ponytail and light blue hair. Then they both looked at each other in the eye.

"Weiss?!" He yelled.

"James what the heck are you doing here!" she sounded mad but looked surprised.

"Well... after some thought i decided to go somewhere else and joined Beacon because you would always talk about it" he said in a shy way.

"Huh, I served someone of inspiration, well im glad that i inspired you to do so" she gave him a smile which was quite rare in Weiss.

They both stayed talking about what they wanted to do at Beacon. As she was walking around she would cross her hands because she was quite nervous more than excited. Her ears folded as she got more nervous so she decided to search for a seat but most of them were occupied. Then a tall boy with black hair and a big body called her. He looked quite shy for his looks.

"Hey... uhm i noticed that you have been walking around and it seemed like you were searching for a seat so i can offer you mine if you want!" the boy said.

"Oh right I almost forgot, the name is Jack!". She looked at him in a very shy way and presented herself.

"My name is Alice... thanks for the seat but it seems that you won't have a place to seat down" she added.

"Ah don't worry, I'm kinda excited to even stay still on a chair so I'll stand up". Just when she was about to thank him again the intercom came on.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon. My name is Glynda Goodwitch. You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future Huntsmen and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and the training to protect our world" the message stopped.

Just when the message was shared Beacon Academy was visible from the Airship. Then the ship landed and Jack along with Alice exited the airship and they both looked at the tower that was right in front of them.

"This is it, our journey to become Huntsman starts now" Jack said with a big smile that crossed his face.

Alice looked at him and her anxiety suddenly left and felt excitement as well. He looked at her and she smiled back then they both made their way together through the long road that connected the landing area with the tower.
