Volume 1 - The creature of the lake

Both groups parted ways to fight their enemy. Jack's squad had to take down the Sea Feilong and Mashy's squad had to deal with the Grimm that were attracted by the roars of the bigger Grimm. Even though Jack's squad had to take down a single bigger target, Mashy's squad was going to have a hard time taking down multiple targets and making sure they don't bother Jack.

"James make sure to keep your semblance active around us so that way we can levitate and stay close to the thing" said Jack.

"You got it, I'll make sure to keep up with it's movements and you guys concentrate on attacking" said James.

"Alice move in to attack!" Jack ordered Alice.

"Got it" said Alice.

Then she proceeded to get close and get on top of the Grimm, using Double Edge she ran through the Grimm's body and slashed it at the same time.

"Katy your next!" said Alice.

"Wohooo!" Katy yelled.

She dived towards the Grimm but her screaming attracted the Grimm's attention and went to attack her but James was well aware of it's movements and managed to get Katy out of the way.

"Thanks for that pal, I owe you one" said Katy.

"Just concentrate" said James.

"Urgh at least have fun..." said Katy.

Then from her ashes she created Double Edge which was Alice's weapon and used it's Spear form then she also took out her weapon Crimson Flame and she dived towards the Grimm once again this time landing in it's snake like body. She then stabbed the Grimm with both spears and James used his semblance to make her float while the spears were inside the Grimm's skin. He made a current of wind that had the same form as the body of the Grimm so that Katy could go through it and leave a deep wound since the spears were inside the thick skin. This left the Sea Feilong in big pain and went on a rampage but James used Vortex to trap it inside in a tornado. Then without even being ordered he launched his attack with Stryker and shot a bunch of fire arrows inside the tornado creating an explosion inside it so that the Sea Feilong would be in flames and kept in the same place at the same time.

"Nice strategy James, didn't expect that!" said Jack.

"All i did was think fast before everything went down hill" said James.

"Well i like your quick thinking!" said Jack with a smile on his face.

"Thank you...." said James.

In the ground Mashy's squad was killing a bunch of Grimm.

"Athena give me a hand here!" said Mashy.

Then Pablo used his semblance to raise boulders from the ground and Athena used her semblance which gave her the ability to control the gravity in objects to deal with the boulders herself. She threw them at a group of Grimm and then took out Crimson Moon and pierced through the chest of a beowolf.

"It looks like we're going to have to get up close and personal with this bastards" said Mashy.

"Elijah and Cleo get close to the Grimm and give them all you got!" ordered Mashy.

"You got it!" said both of them.

Cleo used her firearms and shot through the Grimm around her easily. Elijah used his Katana to slash any Grimm that came towards him and Mashy covered the blades of his scythe with hard rock to smash the Grimm to death in an instant. Athena would cover their back by shooting any Grimm that came for them from behind. Their teamwork was incredible and they didn't seem to have any trouble. Back to Jack's squad things were going amazingly well.

"Here we go" said Jack.

He got close to the Sea Feilong and gathered energy in his arms while he grabbed onto Myrradix and then he released the energy causing him to spin with Myrradix in it's scythe form. James used Vortex to help him spin and get close to the Grimm that was trapped in the tornado. He managed to grab onto the Grimm's body and slashed down taking advantage of the wind to make him go faster. Then he used Propulsion from his feet to go up to it's head.

"James use your semblance to open it's mouth!" said Jack and James did what he had to do.

Then Jack concentrated a huge amount of energy in his fist and punched through the air which caused an incredible amount of wind pressure that went inside the Sea Feilong and exploded the body from inside out successfully killing the Grimm. Ozpin was looking at the fight through cameras located around the area and he was surprised about the power and teamwork that this students had both Jack's squad and Mashy's squad.

"We did it!" yelled Jack.

"That was fucking awesome man" said Katy.

"Well thank you Katy" said Jack.

James and Alice were quiet but they were smiling and proud of themselves.

"Hey guys that was incredible!" said Mashy.

"You guys are on a whole different level!" said Elijah.

"Well it was thanks to your teamwork for taking care of the Grimm down below that we managed to concentrate on the Sea Feilong" said Jack.

"No need to thank us, we did what we had to do and im glad I trusted all of you to take care of that thing" said Mashy.

"Well now that we took care of that we should probably make our way to the cliff side" said Jack.

"Yeah let's go team" said Mashy.

Both squads made their way to the cliff side and they were proud of what they had done. Ozpin was impressed with both squads and their teamwork.

"How did a Sea Feilong managed to get here?" asked Ozpin.

"If im sure there's probably an underwater cave that connects to the sea in that lake, perhaps the Sea Feilong made it's way through it and adapted to the waters in the lake" said Glynda.

"We'll im impressed that this students took the thing down after all it isn't your run to the mill Grimm, this students are the real deal don't you agree" said Ozpin.

"I do indeed agree, other students would've run away but them... they actually took it down and the squad that were fighting the Grimm below had incredible teamwork" said Glynda.

"We'll see what happens in the Initiation Ceremony" said Ozpin as he turned around and headed towards the forest.
