Volume 1 - Beacon Academy

Beacon tower looked way bigger than what you could see in Vale. Jack and Alice made their way through the long road that connected the main plaza with the airship station and as they were walking they heard a huge boom! behind them. There was a huge cloud of smoke and what could have been dust. When the smoke cleared Jack could recognize one of the two people that were involved in the explosion. It was the girl with the red hood, a girl with a black bow in her hair and girl that had a light blue dress.

"I know her..." they both said with curiosity.

"You know the girl with the red hood too?!" Jack said in a surprised tone.

"No... i know the girl with the bow in her hair, you could say we have seen each other before" Alice corrected Jack.

"Oh sorry, i saw the girl with the red hood last night while i was shopping with some stuff then suddenly she was fighting bad guys with a scythe but now that i see her here... she looks quite clumsy" Jack said with a very disappointed face.

Then they saw that the girl with the blue dress ran off and looked extremely mad and the girl with the black bow walked away from the situation. Jack noticed that the girl with the red hood was left alone and she fell to the ground then the floor. He was going to go to her and give her a hand but then a blonde guy helped her up before him.

"Maybe next time" Jack thought.

"What a great start huh" a girl behind them said.

They both got startled by the sudden appearance of this girl.

"Sorry i should present myself, the name is Katy nice too meet you" Katy said in a cool tone.

"Hey Katy, the name is Jack and this here is Alice and yes what a wonderful start, so nice that there's a hole in front of the school" Jack said.

"Haha yeah shit is crazy, you don't mind if i stick to y'all right? i don't wanna get lost around this huge campus" Katy said as she curled her hair through her finger.

"Yeah why not right Alice?" Jack looked at Alice.

"Totally, we aren't that sure where we exactly are going but we could figure it out together" Alice said in a calm voice.

"Great! then lead the way pals". Not sure where they were headed, the three students made their way deeper into the school.

When they finally reached the hall that everyone was reunited they stayed in the back because there was quite a lot of people and they couldn't see much but what was important for them was too listen. Then Headmaster Ozpin appeared in stage and gave his speech.

"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose — direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step" said Ozpin.

Some people were confused at what he said but Jack understood every last word. Then Glynda Goodwitch took over the microphone to speak.

"You will gather at the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins, be ready. You are dismissed"

After the reunion ended Jack and the gang went outside and decided to check out campus and get a good feel to it so that they wouldn't get lost, it was a huge school after all. When they were done touring the school it was dawn, almost night and they decided to go to the ballroom to set up their sleeping bags and their necessary stuff for the night. Most of the ballroom was occupied with a lot of sleeping bags and students walking around but the place was surprisingly huge so plenty of people could stay. The group managed to find a small corner in the ballroom and they got everything ready.

"Well now that everything is in place i think i will go change, wanna come Alice?" said Katy.

"Sure, i need to get out of this clothes and put on some comfy one because these boots and pants are killing me" Katy and Alice left for the bathroom to change and left Jack alone.

"Well i guess i should go too" Jack thought.

Then a boy came towards him with sleeping bag and everything in his hands.

"Excuse me... I realized you were with a group so I wondered if you have extra space, i can't find anywhere to put my stuff. Oh right, my name is James". Jack looked around and analyzed the area.

"Sure! here you can set up your stuff next to mine while i make my way to the bathroom to change or do you want me to wait for you?" Jack asked.

"Oh don't worry you can go change and thanks for letting me set my stuff here, i would have probably ended up having nowhere to sleep" James said while he looked at the floor.

"No worries pal, make yourself comfortable" Jack smiled at him and left for the bathroom.

Later that night they were all ready to finally get some sleep and Jack already presented James to the group.

"Man i can't wait for tomorrow, we finally put ours skills to the test" Jack said as he looked at the ceiling.

"I wonder what initiation we will have, right now my braincells are dead and tired so i can't even imagine it. Good night people" Katy said as she got cozy in her sleeping bag.

James and Alice looked like they were already good to go.

"Good night everyone, tomorrow is gonna be an exciting day" Jack said as he turned off the lamp that lit up the corner that they were in.
