Chapter 4- A Relaxing Nature Walk

ROBERT'S P.O.V.

I close the front door to my house, Ivy on my left shoulder again, and I head over to the dirt path that leads into the forest.

"You ready Ivy?", I ask her.

"Snivy!", she says in response.

I smile, and begin walking along the dirt path.

The forest feels exactly like it did the day I found Ivy, very peaceful.

I head over to the place where I first found Ivy at.

"Remember this place Ivy?", I ask her.

She growls in response, obviously not liking the memory of what happened here when I found her.

I continue onward, walking further along the dirt path.

I can hear the wind blowing through the trees, the birds chirping happily, and the sound of those certain insects that're really loud and annoying.

I notice that Ivy has been staring at me for a little while now.

"You okay there Ivy?", I ask her, a little concerned.

She shakes her head, like as if she's snapping herself out of a daze, and she nods in response to my question, blushing a little.

I shrug off her unusual behavior, and continue to enjoy our nature walk.

These woods have always been really peaceful.

Why?

I don't know, but I certainly don't question it either.

I walk over to a clearing in the forest, which I know for certain from previous walks through these woods, has a big pond on the other side of it.

Ivy looks at me with curiosity, and I smile at her.

"You'll see what it is in a second Ivy.", I say.

IVY'S P.O.V.

I smile at Robert, my tail wagging excitedly as he walks through the clearing.

My eyes widen in both surprise, and amazement.

There's a huge pond on the other side of this clearing.

'This is incredible! How did I NOT know about this spot?!', I think.

Robert smiles at me, and I quickly hop down from off of his left shoulder, scurrying over to the pond.

Robert is right behind me as I stop at the edge of the pond.

I stare at my reflection in the murky pond water.

I can see the excitement in my eyes, and I giggle.

Robert sits down next to me, smiling at me.

I look over at him, and smile back.

"Thank you so much for taking me here Robert!", I say with joy.

Robert smiles at me even more.

I lunge at him, and hug his left arm tightly, my tail wagging with so much happiness.

He chuckles, and pets me on my head, causing me to purr with pleasure.

He does this for a few minutes, then stops.

Once he stops petting me, I run back over to the edge of the pond, and jump, diving into the murky waters.

I surface two seconds later, and Robert watches me, impressed.

"I didn't know you could swim Ivy. Nice!", he says with a smile.

I giggle again, smiling back at him.

I suddenly feel something brush up against my tail, and not even a second later, I'm dragged down into the murky waters.
