"Alright my precious ad'ika, time for bed." You murmured at your daughter. The clock struck nine, and it was time for your daughter to sleep. Maira put down her plush clone trooper and jedi knight and stood up to take your hand. You smiled when her small hand grasped two of your fingers.
You two made your way out of the living room and into the fresher. You hoisted her on the stool in front of the sink and handed Maira her toothbrush. You squeezed toothpaste onto it, and she brushed away. You both hummed a little melody as she scrubbed at her teeth. Hearing a small noise, you turned towards the fresher entrance to see Crosshair leaning against the door. He had a small smile graced on his face, with his arms crossed on his chest. He nodded at you slightly and put a finger on his lips. You nodded and turned your attention back to Maira who was rinsing out her mouth and toothbrush. She hopped off the stool and rubbed her face onto the little towelette and turned to leave the fresher. Maira saw her father standing at the entrance and squealed, scurrying over to him.
"Buir!" Maira screeched as she jumped into his arms. Cross immediately caught her and spun her around as she let out a loud laugh.
"My ad'ika. Have you been good to your mother?" Maira nodded rapidly. Crosshair smiled and patted her back as she wrapped her hands around his neck. You walked over to your two loved ones and kissed Crosshair on his cheek.
"Would you like to help me out Maira to bed?" Crosshair nodded and slid an arm around your waist as you all walked up the stairs to go to Maira's bedroom. As Crosshair entered into the room, he tossed her softly onto the bed as she shrieked out in laughter. You pulled the sheets from under her and tucked her in. "Goodnight my sweet girl." You said, kissing her forehead.
"Goodnight Maira." Cross murmured moving her hair out of her face.
"Wait! Buir," Maira said to Crosshair. "Tell me a story." You and Crosshair looked at eachother before both sitting at the edge of her bed.
"What type of story would you like, ad'ika?"
Maira thought for a moment before speaking. "How did you and mommy meet?" You smiled at this question, your mind immediately reminiscing the day you met your riduur. You nodded at Cross so he could tell the story. Maira sat up from her bed and waited for him to start his story.
"Well. You know we met during the time of the galactic war. I was a soldier in the same squad as your uncles. Your mother was the fiercest warrior fighting with her own squad, the Delta Squad. Me and your uncles were stationed on Coruscant for a few days. I saw her getting off of the ship with her squad and thought she was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." Maira was looking at her father intensely as she gripped her pillow that was in front of her stomach. Crosshair looked at you intently as he said it, making your heart beat a bit faster.
Crosshair remembered that day so vividly. He was cleaning the scope of his rifle after completing a two week mission on Felucia. Tech was talking to him and Hunter about something random, as usual Crosshair paid little attention to him. He had glanced up to see an all black ship landing in the hangar. He only knew of one squad that had a ship like that, the Delta Squad. He'd heard so many things about Boss and his crew of elite men. If anything he felt a little bit competitive as a member of another elite squad, so he paused to see the Delta Squad exit.
Out came the four troopers, Crosshair had to admit they looked almost as badass in that armor as his squad did. Then out came you. Crosshair could feel his eyes widening and his jaw going a bit slack. You had on your usual look, a black set of very well fitted armor. You carried two batons at your back and two dc-15s holstered on your hips, not to mention a vibroblade strapped to your thigh. Crosshair was dumbstruck. He never let any woman's attraction get to him this bad, you were the first exception. Not only did you look badass, but to be running around with the damn Delta Squad? He knew you were something. He remembered catching your eye that day on the hangar, staring at you for a moment. Any other clone, civvie, or anyone really would've looked away, but you didn't. You maintained eye contact until one of your team mates called for your attention. Another thing that drew Crosshair in.
