A Loving Reunion

Hermione and her family were all at a restaurant having brunch

Draco had been called out for an emergent meeting

She hated that she hasn't been able to introduce him to her family

Lyra was to her right while Scorpius was on her left, they chatted along with their friends

Hermione grabbed a piece of toast but not before Elaine sniggered

"What is it Elaine?" She asked

"Well...I don't mean to be rude but...are you sure you want eat that? I mean...you're not getting any younger" Elaine stated

Hermione dropped her toast and glared at her cousin

"I'll have you know that I gave birth a few months ago, I know that it's getting harder for me to get rid of the baby fat but I do not care" she sneered

"More children out of wedlock? You really did fail with her" Celine tsk'ed

"I am mar—"

"Well Jean, I think it's safe for me to say that if you raise those babies, they won't turn out like Hermione...I mean...it's too late with Lyra but—" Celine continued

Hermione stood up abruptly while Scorpius glared at her and Lyra clenched her jaw

"You can criticize me all you want Auntie Celine, but do not judge my daughter"

"You let your daughter bring her boyfriend, I mean who knows what they do behind close doors" Celine told her "I know it's the new parenting technique to allow your children to do anything but I have done the math, and you were twenty when you had them, but you were nineteen when you got pregnant with them" Celine finished, a smirk on her face

Hermione was fuming

"How dare you?!" She yelled "I understand that I was nineteen when I got pregnant with Lyra and Scorpius, but I have done everything to make sure they had a good life, their father has done everything to make sure that they had a good life, you can judge me all you want but do not dare to call my daughter a slut!" She yelled

People looked at them

Elaine stood up and glared at her

"Back down cousin, you know my mother is right"

Hermione raised her chin

"She is wrong" Hermione spat

"Do you really want to go to war Hermione?" Elaine sneered "I will win Hermione, I always win" she smirked

"Being it on Elaine, I let you bully and insult me, I took your passive aggressive remarks, I let you push me around for years, I let you criticize my appearance which caused my self esteem to be low, but I will never tolerate any of you insinuating that I failed as a mother, I have failed as many things but I have not failed as a mother or a wife, you want war Elaine? Prepare to lose" Hermione spat

She sat down again and waved over a waitress

"Are you ready to order?" She asked her family

Her immediate family ordered while her extended family took a moment to compose themselves

The conversations moved to safer topics, although Elaine and Celine would make subtle comments with Hermione would pick up on

She mentally thanked Narcissa, Pansy and Astoria for teaching her the art of subtle insults

Brunch went by and before they knew it, it had ended

Elaine grabbed Hermione's upper arm and dug her manicured nails into her skin

"You embarrassed me Hermione, be prepared to face the consequences" she threatened

Hermione ripped her arm out and glared at her cousin

"I feel sorry for you, I grew up, but clearly you haven't...whatever you have in mind, just know I feel sorry for you" She whispered and walked away

She waited until she exited the restaurant to release the breath she was holding, pulling out her phone she dialed Teddy's number, he picked up and there was a small explosion in the back

"Hi aunt Mia"

"Hi Teddy" Hermione said "how's everything going?"

"Well no one has died if that's important"

"Teddy! 'If that's important'? Of course it's important" she scolded

"Leo has had three burst, but 'Dora has had...six...you owe my grandma a new vase, their hair is permanently blue, they have done their very first prank—"

"Teddy Remus Lupin!"

"—gotta go auntie Mia, Leo is floating"

Teddy hung up before Hermione could scold him even more

She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose

Teddy was going to be the death of her

Her phone rang and she saw it was Draco

"Draco?"

"I'm bored" he whined

"Draco" she giggled

"I want to shag my beautiful wife—oh hello Mr. Davidson"

She burst out laughing

"Granger I have to call you back"

He hung up and Hermione sighed, she pulled out her iPad and looked at her calendar

She had a free day so she decided to head to her boutique

She reached the store and entered, it was quiet and Hermione was okay with that

She entered the back room and waved her wand, her material fluttered around the room, her portfolio placed itself on the bench

A mannequin placed itself in the center as Hermione opened the portfolio

Her phone rang and she answered without looking at the ID

"Malfoy speaking"

"Draco? When did your voice change?"

"Hello Theodore, how may I help you?" She asked him

"I'm really bored Granger, Pansy had been called in for an emergency shift at St. Mungo's and Brutus and I want to see Draco"

"Theo—"

"I'll see you in America, heads up, I'm getting Draco drunk"

He hung up before Hermione could call him some very not nice names

She dialled Draco's number

"Hello love" he said

"Heads up Draco, Theo's coming"

Draco groaned

"Do you thing we can run to Canada?"

Hermione giggled

"He's on his way as we speak, and you know when Theodore sets his mind on something, he'll go through with it"

"Why out of all the wizards at Hogwarts, did I have to be stuck with Theodore Reese Nott? I would have rather been stuck with Weasley —actually no I take it back, he tried to steal my wife away from me — but anyone besides Theo" Draco complained

"Wait! His middle name is Reese?"

"I wasn't supposed to say that"

Hermione smirked

"Theodore Reese Nott...thank you Malfoy, you have been great help today"

"Granger—"

Hermione hung up and began humming contently while working

That day had been very interesting, but it had been a great day, she could only hope that the rest of the days were the same
