I paced my room impatiently waiting for the call. It was 9:59 already and I couldn't bear it anymore. Then finally at 10:00 my phone rang. I picked it up instantaneously. Before I could pick the phone up a voice spoke to me. The voice was strangely familiar to me.

"Tomorrow, Jack will be waiting for you near the harbour. Be there at 6 sharp and follow him quietly. Don't ask any questions until you have reached the ship" the voice commanded me. The voice was stern and very masculine. Before I could reply the line went dead and at the same time my dad entered the room.

"Sweetie, in two weeks it's your birthday and you are turning seventeen, but unfortunately I have a meeting I have to attend to in Australia. I will be going tomorrow morning and returning in another four months. So, here is your gift from me. Also inside you will find a letter written by your mother. She made me promise that I won't open it until you were seventeen. So Bye and have fun for the rest of the summer", with that he left me alone in the room with a small package which was wrapped up in a red wrapping paper.

I closed my room door and called up Katelyn to take me to the beach tomorrow. She agreed immediately saying that she has to go to help her mom with stuff for the fashion week. I mumbled a thanks and kept the phone next to my bed. I went to the bathroom, had a long bath and slept peacefully for the rest of the night.

Jack's POV

I was waiting for her. Then in a distance I saw her coming. Her hair was opened up and it was beautiful. She saw me and walked fast towards me. She looked very exhausted and I felt sorry for calling her here this early.

"You're late", I told her when she finally came where I stood. "Captain Jim will not be happy if we don't hurry up."

She wanted to argue but closed her mouth and mumbled a quick sorry under her breathe. I turned around and motioned here to follow me. She walked swiftly, like she hated being told what to do. I read all about her mother in "The Book of Amazing Pirates" and she was phenomenal in every way. From all I could see Lindy was exactly like her. Then I noticed something. She had a letter in her hand.

"You can't bring that letter in the ship." I told her. She was taken aback and then replied "Its a letter from my mother. Please let me bring it", she begged. I nodded and started walking again. After another five minutes we reached the harbour. Her eyes widened in shock and looked at me with a surprised look on her face.

"Captain Jim will explain everything. Even I don't know the whole story". But I knew she didn't hear me. She kept looking at the ship with her eyes wide and her mouth open. After she came back to the real world, she looked around to see no-one looking at the ship. I knew what she was thinking. "These people can't see the ship only pirates can. And also please do not behave like this in front of Captain Jim, he doesn't like it. Also you have to read the letter as soon as possible to realize the truth". With that we entered the pirate ship
