Chapter 14: 100 days

Once the sun rises, everyone went out to scope out the area. Dead bodies were everywhere, the smell of the rotting corpses fills their nostrils making them gag

"Ahhh gross.. ewwww" Dahyun whined as she stepped on the dead bodies "Well what a nice day out" Jeongyeon sarcastically said "Where's Gary?" Yujin asked "Who?" Nako raises a brow "The zombie Hyewon unnie told us to spare" Yujin said "You named him Gary?" Hitomi asked "Yes! It fits him" Yujin chuckled

They shook their head while giggling at Yujin's childishness. They split into groups, some went to scope out the area, some cleaned up, some gathered materials and some helped out with getting Gary the Zombie inside to Hyewon's laboratory

"Here's G" Yujin said as she pushed the zombie into the glass chamber "you didn't get scratched or anything?" Hyewon asked "Nope, cut off his arms using this sweet katana Wonyoung found me, I call it. Wonnies love~" Yujin said as she wiped off the blood from the sword "whipped bitch" Hyewon  typed in some codes in the computer, turning the lights inside the chamber dimmer as camera's started recording

"are you recording?" Yujin asked as she sat on a desk near the computers "Yup" Hyewon types in a file name then slides to the other desk  "Day 1 of finding the cure to the Siberium Virus. first subject, Zombie 1--"

"Gary"

"first subject.. Gary.." Hyewon sighed as she types in more information on the computer "Subject seems tense after a certain idiot cut off his arms.." she looked at Yujin who was innocently eating a raw potato while watching her "Try the first dose, Serum-A, found it on the locked up chest under the desk. commencing experiment" Hyewon pours the serum onto a tube pipe which turned the liquid serum into a gas

Yujin and Hyewon watched as the gas surrounds the zombie. it's skin rot even more making the zombie go crazy, banging itself around the chamber as bubbles starts to form around his body. Yujin watched in horror whilst Hyewon remained unamused, suddenly, Gary popped "AHHH SHIT--" Yujin yelled as she fell down the desk, traumatized by the way her dear zombie friend died "serum-A... is a failure. experiment number 1 failed" Hyewon said as she turned off the recording and putting it on a file before writing it down on the journal 

"YOU KILLED GARYYYY" Yujin exclaimed "He's already dead to begin with. hey be a pup and grab me some herbs in this list" Hyewon said as she passed Yujin a list of herbs and elements needed "where will I get some of these?" Yujin raises a brow "find a way, It's for serum-B. I have to figured out a way to crack this code" Hyewon sighed while reading the journal 2 "aye aye scientist kang!" Yujin salutes then runs up the stairs, passing by Minju "why does Yujin look so excited over a piece of paper?" Minju asked, grabbing a chair then sitting beside Hyewon "adventure I guess.." Hyewon stared at the code "why is this so damn hard goddamn it" she sighed and leaned back on the chair

Minju wraps her arms around the latter then lays her head on her shoulder "You should take time to relax unnie, if you keep stressing yourself out you won't be able to crack up the code" Hyewon sighed "right.. right.." she looked at Minju then smiled "thanks minmin" Minju smiled then kisses her cheeks "Jihyo unnie said we need to fix up the compound for the next possible bloodmoon, we can find some new test subjects too for the time being. let's go?" Minju stood up and offered her hand to which Hyewon took it

"sooo.. Hyewon wants us to find those?" Chaeyoung raises a brow "honestly, I don't know where to find it too" Yujin pouts "let me see that" Hitomi takes the paper then examines it "you idiots, this is a recipe for a cake!" she exclaimed as she lightly hits Yujin "IF SHE NEEDED SUGAR WHY WOULD SHE PUT IN SUCROSE?!" Yujin said as she rubs her arm "YAHHH KANG HYEWONN" Eunbi yelled

"present" Hyewon raises her hand as soon as she and Minju got out of the house "What's this? I thought you're trying to find for a cure?" Sakura asked "That's what's written on the whiteboard.." Hyewon explained "Cake ingredients? seriously?" Nako raises a brow "woah hey we're in an apocalypse, why would I want cake at this time?" Hyewon asked "because you're Kang Hyewon" Chaeyeon said while helping Seulgi carry a stack of wood

"so the things needed to upgrade the cottage are complete but we have one slight problem" Seulgi told the leaders "we.. don't know how to build a house" she added as she looked at the broken down cottage "GUYS GUYS LOOK COWWSSS" Wonyoung excitedly brings in 3 cows with JIsoo and Yeojin "if these cows get infected too, I don't know what else to do honestly" Jisoo said while helping them bring the cows to the fences "hey look we found some chicken fence wires at the attic of the house" Momo and Hyejoo brings in two huge roles of fence wires to the group

"we can use that to surround the area for our crops and also near the lake too" Yeri said "so what else do we need?" IU asked "light source" Irene said "won't that attract zombies?" Lia asked "well yeah but we also need to see in the dark, especially at night, it's not everynight that the moon is bright enough to see" Mina stated

"so basically we're gonna spend the whole day improving the compound?" Heejin raises a brow "yep.." Jinsoul sighed "hey guys look what I found inside the house"  Yuna comes out with another huge chest "another chest? what's inside?" Sana asked while watching them open up the chest "Some clothes and other hygiene necessities" Chaeryeong answered while reading the shampoo bottle "is that enough for all of us?" Tzuyu raises a brow "well.. atleast we have new clothes, look at ours" They all looked at their clothes "huh.. we look so dirty" Gowon said "but still so beautiful ughh I'm so pretty" Nayeon flips her hair. Jeongyeon grabs a fistful of mud then pours it over Nayeon "yah! Yoo Joengyeon!" Nayeon yelled as she wiped off the mud off her "YOU OSTRICH! GET BACK HERE!" and now they started to run around

"ooookay, let's start building, yeah?" They nodded at Jihyo's statement as they went on their separate ways on fixing the whole compounds.

Lisa and Seulgi mixes in some cement to make barricades infront of the compound while Jeongyeon and Momo pours it inside the boxes they made that has spikes infront. Lia, Nako, Yuri and Choerry  makes their own crops not far from the lake whilst the others fixes the house or scoping out the area.

The sun was setting and they were 70% finished with the compound, currently, they're waiting for Jisoo and Jennie to finish up cooking their dinner. They sat around the table Chaeyeon and Yves built awhile ago "still haven't cracked up the code?" Mina asked Hyewon, who was seriously staring at the journal "no.." Hyewon sighed "dinner's ready" Jennie said "finally! I'm starving" Momo said. They set the table and started to eat

"did you guys lock the gate?" Jihyo asked "yes ma'am, all locked up and surrounded by our spikes and barricades" Lisa answered "what about the back gate?" Jihyo asked again "same answer" Yeri said "Also what happened to Gary?" Chaewon asked Hyewon

Yujin suddenly frowns "Hyewon unnie turned Gary into a bubble then killed him!" she answered "Let's say adding in gunpowder and iron into a liquid mixture is not a good idea" Hyewon shrugged and continued to read the journal "RIP Gary" Chuu said with a sad tone. They suddenly hear their makeshift alarm go off making them stand up on gaurd

"I'll go check it out" Yujin said as she grabbed her katan then going out. everything was silent at first until "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--" They heard Yujin yell making them run out " Yujin! Yujinnie what's wrong?" Wonyoung asked "Y-Y--Y-Y-Y--" Yujin stuttered as she pointed at a direction "what? yahh are you alright?" Yuri asked "um... guys..." Rosé said as she pointed at the horde outside their gate

"oh my godnist.." Chaewon muttered "there goes our peaceful dinner.." Lisa sighed as she ready up her weapons "let's just see if our defense system would work" Seulgi said. They watched as zombie's roam around their compound, some trying to head to them, some were just mindless "um.. I think we need to make our defense a bit.. stronger before day 10 comes.." Hyewon muttered "why?" Nako asked

"because every 10 days the zombies are gonna--"

"YENA UNNIE?!"
