Pain of living

5 1 1

When it rains it pours
When the skies cry we drown in their tears
Life isn't always rainbows and sunshine
Sometimes it's the death and loss
These are the pains of living
We grow up and no one hides the world from us anymore
Dropped into the deep end without warning
Another life taken from us too soon
These are the pains of living
Growing up all alone
Fighting the demons everyday
Life isn't easy
It's the struggle of walking through the fire
Waiting for that last board to fall
Crushed under the rubble
Waiting for a rescue that's never gonna come
Life isn't easy
It crashes down on us
Life isn't easy
But that's the pain of living
Ya might be a little girl
Terrified
Or a son forced to lie
A mamma left alone to cry
Or a daddy paralyzed
All this pain
It's worth living
That's the pain of living
Sexually harassed
Definitely not mentally unscathed
Bruises hidden by long sleeves and dark sunglasses
All the lies told to the ER Nurses
Life kicked us when we're down
Sometimes the pain of living is too much
Just know I'm never giving up
You are stronger than this
You can bare this pain
You push those limits to the max
Bend the world at your knees
The pain of living will test you But
The pain of living is a pain worth ignoring
You're never alone
No matter who you are
If the pains of living are overwhelming
Look to the skies and know
The tears from the skies won't last forever
Dry your eyes and wait for the rainbow
When it rains it pours
This storm too will pass for brighter days
