Mick knocked on Clarity's door. The Glitch hadn't come out for hours. Mick didn't blame her for hiding away like she was. The fight she had with Ava had been pretty nasty. That said, even though the captain had taken her girlfriends side in the matter, Sara still wanted someone to check on the other woman as despite being with the clone Sara still cared for Clarity. This is where Mick came in. Not that the assassin hadn't even had to say a word to Mick about it. The arsonist was on it long before Sara even thought about Clarity needing comforting. The Captain fully invested in comforting her clone girlfriend to think about Claritys feelings.

"Sparky, open up." Mick told her. "I brought beer."

"I'm not in the mood to drink Mick." Clarity denied picking at her blanket. "And I don't even like beer. You know that."

"It ain't for you." Mick replied shifting his weight leaning closer to the door. "I'm here to listen, figured you might want to talk to somebody."

"I don't." Clarity replied, as the doors slid open. Revealing the glitch sitting on her bed with reddened eyes and puffy cheeks. Tissues scattered all around her crumpled and use.

"Tough." Mick replied, "I'm here anyways."

"Did Sara put you up to this?" Clarity challenged.

"She didn't have to." Mick insisted. "Listen Sparky." Mick sat down in her desk chair setting down his case of beer on her desk. "That clone doesn't know what she's talking about. You shouldn't let her words get to you."

"It's-its just not fair." Clarity spoke up after a few minutes of silence passed between them. "I've never gotten a turn to be captain and Ava's on the ship for half a day and she's suddenly shouting orders and captaining us?"

"I don't like it either." Mick admitted. "Clones got a stick up her ass. But it's Sara's call."

"She's never going to pick me over, Ava. She already chose to date her over me. Why'd I ever think that the choice of who would be captain while she was gone would be any different?"

Mick shrugged, "You weren't thinking. You were hoping. Emotion clouds everything. Specially with you hero types."

Clarity sighed resting her head in her hand. "Sometimes I wish I was less of a hero type. Maybe things wouldn't be so disappointing, if I didn't care."

Mick stood up setting his beer down. "Get up. We're going out."

"What?" Clarity asked.

"Can't watch you mope." Mick denied. "It ain't like you."

"Feels like it is lately." Clarity admitted. "Where are we going?"

"To steal stuff." Mick snatched a blue leather jacket out of Clarity's closet and passed it to her. Makes me feel better, maybe it'll work for you too."
