"and you guys are sure it's okay?" katie asked quadruple checking with coraline and karl that they could look after tucker for the weekend.
katie was frantically walking around her house making sure everything was clean and in place for the couple whilst chris sat down on the couch, on his phone, scrolling through instagram.
coraline held tucker in her arms watching her best friend drag their bags to the front door. karl, who was standing directly behind coraline with his hands on her waist, chuckled to himself looking at how differently katie and chris were acting.
"we're sure it's okay, don't stress about a thing" cora smiled, trying to reassure katie and calm her down, katie finally stopped walking around the house and turned to cora and karl before giving them both a hug.
"i cannot thank you guys enough for this, chris please get up for the seventh time"
"ninth" he told her locking his phone and standing up, he made his way over to the couple and kissed tucker on the head, the boy smiled widely as his dad began to baby talk at him, not that he understood a word chris was saying, but it was still adorable to witness, regardless.
"you guys go and have fun, rara and i will have this all under control" karl told them genuinely, he was excited to spend time with his best friend/girlfriend and his god-son.
"thank you again, love you both so much! call if anything happens, please! bye bubba, mommy loves you! when we go, you're all good to put tucker down for a nap, he'll let you know when he's up" katie spoke before heading out the door with a wave, chris followed behind her and waved at the two then closed the door behind him.
karl wrapped his arms around cora's waist and looked down at her holding tucker in her arms, sure the two had baby sat tucker before for a few hours but a whole two/three days was nerve wracking.
"so what now?" karl asked, boop-ing tucker on his nose.
coraline turned her head and pressed a kiss to karl's lips quickly then walked off with tucker towards his room, karl followed coraline and held onto the back loop of her jeans as they walked into the baby boys room.
coraline placed tucker down in the crib and kissed the top of tuckers head before putting his blankey on his stomach and putting the pacifier in his mouth.
"have a good sleep, tucks" cora cooed before walking out of his room, karl still had his index finger hooked to her jeans and pulled her back as they made it to their living room.
