48 hours had passed since Kara felt Lena squeeze her hand, making it a total of 4 days since she'd found Lena bleeding on the floor of her penthouse, 4 Days Since Kara had Left the Deo. 4 days since Kara had destroyed the DEO Training Room with her heat vison in a fit of rage, causing herself to solar flare. 4 Days since Kara had eaten or had anything to drink. She was still wearing her blood covered Supergirl Suit, though she'd taken the cape off and covered Lena up with it when she thought she'd seen her shiver. Alex had brought in Eliza to talk to Kara, but even she couldn't convince Kara to eat. Kal and Lois had been staying in Kara's loft so Kal could help with anything requiring a Super. He'd come by the DEO Several times to try to reason with her, but he didn't have any luck either.

"Can we not set up sun lamps in the room? Without her powers, she's essentially human. She won't be able to go without food or water for much longer!"

"Don't you think I've thought of that Clark? We can't set up the sunlamps without potentially hurting Lena! It's not like we can just throw it over her like a blank...WAIT! Mom! Do you think we could rig up a blanket to cover her in the radiation? Like the Biliblankets they use on newborns when they're jaundice? It would solve the problem of keeping Lena save but still giving Kara the radiation."

Eliza hugged her daughter.

"Alex that is a great idea! Brainy and I will get to work on that. In the meantime, sweetie, we also need to address the issue of her getting dehydrated. I know neither of us like the idea, but we need to consider starting her on IV Fluids."

Alex nodded, as much as she hated it, her mom was right. Kara needed fluids. Since she was still essentially "human" they'd be able to get a needle in her skin, assuming Kara didn't fight them.

"You've seen how Kara reacts when I try to get her to take a sip of water, mom. Do you really think she's going to let me put in an IV? She may have solar flared, but she's still strong."

"Alex," Kal put his hand on her shoulder and spoke kindly to her ignoring how hateful she'd been with him just moments before. "Kara is weak right now. Not just from solar flaring, but she is emotional, and she hasn't had any sort of nutrients in 4 days. I doubt she has much fight left in her. Even still, I'll be there to help you if you need it."

The trio separated, Eliza going to recruit Brainy to help with the blanket and Kal and Alex to go hook Kara up to IV Fluids. When they arrived in Lena's room, Kara had fallen asleep on Lena's lap, still gripping on to Lena's hand as if it was the only thing tethering her to this world. Alex worked quickly and gently getting the IV bag and stand set up before going over to her sisters hand.

"I have an idea," whispered Kal pulling Alex to the door way and motioning to Lena's IV Pole and bags. " Put Kara's bag up her as well, and carefully wrap the tubing around Lena's tubing. We can tell Kara that she cannot unhook hers without potentially disturbing Lena's. You and I both know that wouldn't be true, but she wouldn't DARE risk it. Kara is holding the hand that Lena's IV is in. Tape their hands together when you tape Kara's IV in for good measure."

Alex nodded, it was risky but it may work. She knew Kal was right about Kara not wanting to risk ANYTHING hurting Lena so she got to work as gently as possible while Kal stood closely by in case Kara woke up. Luckily, the lack of sunlight coupled with the stress and emotional turmoil – not to mention the solar flare – had left Kara essentially dead to the world and they were able to set everything up without waking her. Alex sent Kal to update Eliza on their success and pulled up a chair on the other side of Lena's bed across from Kara, taking Lena's hand into her own.

"Lena, you have to wake up. None of us want to lose you. We know we have been horrible to you, especially me. But please. You have to wake up. If not for yourself than for Kara. I know how much you love her, even after all that has happened I know that you wouldn't want anything to happen to her. But if you don't wake up, Lena...I don't think she's going to make it."

Looking over at Kara who was still sleeping, Alex couldn't help but start to cry. She knew that there was a chance that Lena would never wake up. Kara had begun to piece together what may have really happened the night that she found Lena in her home, and if Lena didn't wake up, she would blame herself. It scared Alex to think what may happen to her sister if Lena didn't wake up. She sat in her seat staring at her sister and monitoring Lena's vitals, not wanting Kara to wake up and start pulling on tubes.

2 Hours later, Eliza and Kal were coming into the room. Kara STILL hadn't budged. Alex had taken to checking that Kara was still breathing and checking for a pulse every 10-15 Minutes. Kal tried to reassure them that Solar Flaring took a lot out of them under NORMAL circumstances, and that it wouldn't surprise him if Kara slept the rest of the evening into tomorrow.

"This is a GOOD thing, Alex." He attempted to reassure her. "If she's sleeping, her body is recovering, and she'll be able to 'recharge' under the solar blanket without fighting us about it."

Alex knew he was right, but it didn't keep her from worrying. The three of them had agreed to take shifts staying with Kara to be sure someone was there when she woke up to make sure she didn't pull of the IV. Alex was hesitant to leave but Eliza had threatened to call Kelly if she didn't agree to go get herself something to eat. Citing that she couldn't in good conscious expect KARA to take care of herself if she wasn't willing to give herself the same advice.

So she'd agreed to go leaving Eliza with Kara. Kal was being pulled away to assisted with a fire down town where there were several injured firemen trapped inside. He'd insisted he'd be back for his shift, but Eliza assured him that she had it covered and that he needed to focus on saving the fireman and getting himself back safely. J'onn had agreed to take his shift if need be citing that Kara was like a daughter to him and was more than willing to do his part to keep her safe!

None of them expected Kara to sleep for the next 36 hours, waking to the sounds of Lena screaming her name.
