Skies are crying. I am watching, catching teardrops in my hands.

"Hey there sleepy head!"

Lena had barely opened her eyes when some annoyingly chipper woman decided to greet her. It was Kara. Of course she'd be here and be so wide awake and cheerful so early in the morning. Despite her best efforts, Lena couldn't quite remember anything that happened in the last 24 hours, or more importantly how she found herself in Kara's loft...in Kara's bed! Wait, were they? Did they? No. That's not possible. She would DEFINITELY remember doing THAT! Lena tried to sit up to get out of the ridiculously comfortable bed when an arm wrapped around her and pulled her closer.

"Don't go beautiful! We don't have to be at the DEO for at least another hour and we both know I can get us there in less than 5 minutes!"

Kara held her tightly but gentle and Lena couldn't help but sink into her warm embrace – briefly forgetting that she had no memory whatsoever of how she got here. How could something feel so right and so wrong all at the same time? She was snapped back to a confusing reality as Kara nuzzled into her neck and began planting warm and gentle kisses all along her shoulder.

"Kara! Stop it! What is going on? How did I get in your loft?"

Lena wasn't trying to be hateful with Kara, but she needed answers! And she knew if Kara kept kissing her like THAT for much longer that she'd forget her own name much less any questions she had. She pulled herself away from Kara and stood beside the bed, only then realizing that she was wearing Kara's old NCU sweatshirt and NO pants.

"My loft? Lena this is OUR home. You moved in here 6 months ago! Come here, babe. Are you feeling ok?"

What? This can't be right. Lena looked around the room and everything got more confusing. This was Kara's loft, she'd been here enough times to know that. But everything seemed different. It was still warm and homey as ever, but it was different. Instead of a open hanging clothes organizer, there was a beautiful two sided wardrobe. Kara's old comfy couch had been replaced with an equally comfortable yet substantially more expensive one. There were tables and lamps on either side of the bed, one with the latest CatCo Magazine as well as other journalism publications and one with several science journals and $2000 bottle of Scotch, half empty.

"Lena, come here babe. Tell me what's wrong! You're scaring me."

The world was spinning. The last thing Lena remembers was Kara showing up to tell her that she was Supergirl after crisis. Now somehow they'd been living together for 6 months and they were TOGETHER!

"Kara I don't understand what's happening. I don't remember any of this!" She sat on the bed and hung her head. Here she was sharing a bed with Kara Danvers after being in love with her for 3 years and she couldn't even remember how they got together. Kara scooted over to where Lena was sitting and wrapped her arms around her shoulder, then gently lifting her head until blue met green in the most magical way.

"Look at me Lee." Lena stared into Kara's ocean blue eyes and felt like she was going to drown in them. "It's ok Lee. We had a bit to drink last night, just relax and let me help you remember."

Kara leaned in and pressed their lips together, gently at first and then with more passion. Lena had been kissed before, but not like this. This time, Lena was on cloud nine. The more they kissed, the more Lena forgot any question she had about what was going on. She could remember bits and pieces. Kara revealing her secret after Crisis, Lena already knowing but being caught off guard at Kara taking the opportunity to tell her herself. She remembered telling Kara that she needed time, only to find herself on Kara's doorstep that evening and spending the hashing out all of their feelings for one another. They'd dated for 2 months before Kara asked Lena to move in, presenting her with the wardrobe that she'd designed – and built – herself. Lena bought the couch as a gift to replace the one that they'd broken on the first night they made love – she'd bought it specifically because it's foundation was made of Nth Metal and the fibers of the couch were themselves nearly indestructible.

Kissing Kara felt right. And it was doing THINGS to her. It was Kara who broke the kiss, gently pushing Lena's curly black hair behind her ears. Lena could have easily kissed her again, but she instead chose to lay her head on Kara's lap and rest a bit more. She was feeling extremely tired all of a sudden. She felt as Kara began to gently run her fingers through her hair and started humming a tune that Lena had never heard before, but it was beautiful.

Lena hadn't felt this safe – this LOVED - in such a long time. After a few minutes, she was struggling to stay awake. As she started to drift off to sleep, the words that Kara was singing became clearer.

"Please don't go. Let me have you just one moment more. Oh, All I need. All I want is just one moment more."

Something didn't feel right again. There was too much pain in Kara's voice. She stared at the hand in front of her face, the hand that was laced with Kara's, and watched as shallow cuts begun to appear on her arm, and tears mingled with the drops of blood that dropped into her hand.

Kara's Tears.

It felt as though she was being physically ripped from the most beautiful place in the world. She closed her eyes trying to hold on to the safety, the warmth, of being here laying in Kara's lap. She felt like she might throw up because the room was suddenly spinning again. When opened her eyes, she was no longer in their shared loft, but in the DEO Med Bay. She was no longer laying in the lap of her best friend – and dream lover – but instead she was laying on a glorified stretcher with blood-stained bandages wrapped from her wrists all the way up past her elbows. She looked down and saw that Kara was sitting beside her, her Supergirl Suit stained in blood. Her head was laid beside Lena's leg, using the hand that held Lena's as a pillow. Her eyes were closed but unable to stop the flow of tears that was falling into Lena's hand as she continued to sing...

"Please don't go..."
