Round three, I can see
Me and you walking down the aisle
And I know we're young so it'll be a while
Before we doing that
But my mama got me in trainin'
Gettin' ready for the day
When I make somebody happy
Said I was done with lovin'
'Til I found someone like you
Somebody tell me, what was I supposed to do
You put my back against the ropes
No choice but to unfold
I gotta give it to you baby
Baby, you're a winner
Didn't even take you
Twelve rounds to do it
You got the title now
I'ma tell the whole world
To give it up for my girl

Matisse POV:

Week one of the Olympics was in the books and Matisse's adrenaline high was starting to fade. The Olympics was much different than anything he's ever done but he was trying to take it all one day at a time. It wasn't necessarily the games himself but the win or out nature of it. It reminded him of his AAU days. Thankfully, Team Australia was still in and playing. Another practice was coming to a close and Matisse was ready to shower and chill for a little bit. The last game they had played had been a dozy and went into double overtime. His head coach had worked them hard and Matisse had gotten his message loud and clear. If there was a year the Boomers wanted to take it all, it was this year. It was Thursday and the night of probably one of the most watched events, the Women's All Around Gymnastics final. Casey surprisingly wasn't working it but she had begged Matisse to go to the event with her. She was a pretty big fan of the sport and they couple hadn't really had a date night since the Olympics started. They had gotten into a big fight the night before and he wanted a do over date with her. He was getting igated with Casey, something was going on with her. She wasn't acting like herself. And when Matisse asked her if she was okay, she'd lie and say yes even though he could tell she wasn't. He was getting frustrated because he just wanted to help Casey and she was hiding from him. He was hoping to get a nap in before meeting up with her. However, some of his other teammates had different ideas. "Yo Tisse! We gonna meet some cuties at 2. Wanna join?" said his Aussie teammate Josh Green. Josh was single and was always talking about how many numbers he was getting and who he was hooking up with.  "Nah man. I'm good. I'mma take it easy tonight." "Smh I guess man." He wasn't much for excessive partying. He didn't really drink, he didn't smoke, and he wasn't into casual hook ups. He was more of a chill guy and wasn't really feeling the Olympic orgy parties that went on in the Athlete Village. Plus, he was in a relationship and he knew that going to a party would put his relationship with Casey in jeopardy. He wish he could go explore the city of Tokyo more but it wasn't allowed until after he had finished and his Olympic Journey was over. He gathered his vlog camera and headed back to his dorm to shower. He checked his phone and frowned. He hadn't heard from Casey all day which wasn't like her but she did have an insane schedule. I'll call her after I shower. She fines. Right?

30 minutes later

Matisse stepped out of the shower and got dressed. He sat on his bed to text Casey before his nap only to find a miss call and a text from Erica, the assistant to Casey's boss. Erica would text him every now and then as a motherly figure but she usually didn't call him. His eyes widen as he read the message. He read the message twice before tears started falling from his eyes. Fuck Casey. Why? He immediately began to panic and frantically grabbed his things to go find his coaches. He didn't know what to do but he was scared. He had already lost his mom, he didn't want to lose his girlfriend too. The one thing Matisse was fearing had come true. Something was wrong with Casey but no one knew what yet.

Erica: Hi hun! I know your probably in practice so I don't expect an immediate response but I just wanted you to hear it from me.  Casey and I were here working one of the swim events and she collapsed in between meets. The medical staff has her in the clinic. They tested her for Covid and we're waiting on results now. You won't be able to see her until she's cleared but you should be able to talk to her on the phone. She's sleeping now. I'll text you when shes up. Say a prayer for her. Your very good to her. Be gentle and patient.
