Alex POV:

The next morning, I woke up to a faint light coming through the window above my bed. I lay in bed for a moment, listening to the rain falling outside before getting up and quietly making my way to the bathroom to shower.

When I get out, I quickly brush my teeth and dry my hair before getting dressed in some black jeans, a light blue sweatshirt, and some black boots.

I take one last look at myself in the mirror, brushing a hand through my hair, before rolling my eyes and walking out.

I'm already gonna be the talk of the school for being new, did my hair have to be a bright blond?

For some reason, that neither of my parents can explain, I have always had light blond hair, unlike the rest of my family that has brown.
ON my way out of the bathroom, I almost run into Bella, who is rubbing her eyes and yawning.

“Morning, Bells, hungry?” I question before placing a quick kiss on her forehead, making her smile.

“Morning, Alex.” She walks past me to the bathroom door, “and I could have some eggs or bacon.”
I smile back at her nodding, “Eggs and Bacon it is.”

When I get down into the kitchen, I see dad sitting at the table with a cup of coffee, “Morning, Son. I didn't think you would get up this early.”

I shrug as I look for the pan and the ingredients for breakfast, “Yeah, I’ve always been an early riser, annoys mom and Belle a lot.”

Dad chuckles as he rinses his cup in the sink, “Yeah, I believe that. Well, I’m heading off. You and your sister, be careful driving, roads can get slick.”

“Will do,” I say nodding as he walks to the coat rack beside the door before putting it on and checking his gun, “Bye, dad.”

“Bye son, tell Bella I said bye.” I smile as he walks out the door and a minute later I can hear his cruiser driving away.

By the time Bella comes down, I have both of our plates made, and smile from my spot on the counter.

“Thanks, it smells delicious, how are you such a good cook?”

I roll my eyes, “You think everything I make is delicious, and it's not my fault you got mom’s gene’s when it came to your cooking capabilities.

She sticks her tongue out at me, which I smirk at, before digging into her food. THe next few minutes are quite apart from the sound of silverware against our plate, and me humming a song that was stuck in my head.

As I finish eating I get myself a cup of water and clean my plate. I lean against the counter, taking a sip of my drink as I wait for Bella to finish eating so we can leave. When she finally stands up to put her plate away, I groan playfully and say, “Finally! I thought I was going to have gray hairs by the time you finished. I laughed as Bella slapped me on the arm, “Stop being over dramatic, Alexander. Let's go.”

I follow behind my twin sister as she heads over to the door, and grab my bag before making sure my keys are in the pocket of my jacket. We both head to our respective cars and I smile as I feel the car come alive beneath me. I quickly pull out of the driveway before turning up the radio and singing along to the songs, Bella following close behind in her truck.

The drive to the school wasn't that long, not even fifteen minutes. As I look for a parking spot, I can feel the stares of all the students on me. I find a place in the middle of the lot, with Bella pulling in beside me.

I turn the car off before grabbing my bag and hopping out of the car to the other side of my sister’s bright orange truck, stepping in a big puddle of water.

Bella laughs as I scoff down at my shoes, “These were brand new!”

Bella walked up to me, careful to step around the water, “You knew it was rainy, its your own fault.” I roll my eyes before kicking some water up at Bella, getting her wet. SHe glares at me as I wrap an arm around her shoulders, “Come on, Bella! Lets go get our schedules”

As we walk up to the doors, the stares keep burning into our backs, and I can feel Bella tense, so I squeeze her arm and smile at her reassuringly. SHe sends me a grateful look back before I step away to open the door, letting her go ahead of me, “Ladies first,” I smirk as she rolls her eyes and walks through.

We got to the office pretty easily, seeing that school is small, and got our schedules from a nice receptionist, “Here is a slip I need you to get all of your teachers to sign,” she hands us each a piece of paper and we both thank her before walking out into the hallway.
I look down at our schedules, “Well, looks like we have P.E., and biology together.”

She nods before giving me a small smile and a hug, “See you later then, Alex.”

I smile and give her a kiss on the forehead, “Yeah, see you.”

I watch as she walks away and gets bombarded by a boy with black hair farther down the hallway and snort as I turn around, she really is very awkward.

I look down at my schedule once more before making my way down the opposite hall in search of my class.

“Hi, you must be Alex!”
I turn to see a small, pixie like girl with spiky hair, “I'm Alice, its nice to meet you.” She smiles and puts out her hand and I tense a bit when I shake it due to it being ice cold, “sorry about that, I always have cold hands.”

I smile, “No, its uh, its ok. Yeah, I'm Alex, its nice to meet you.”
She somehow smiles even bigger, “I thought so, we don't usually get new students, so two in one day is a bit much.” She looks down at my hand, which is holding my schedule, “Can I see that? I can help you find your classes,” She tilts her head, making a little bit of her spiked hair fall into her eyes.

“Yeah, sure, here.” SHe takes the paper from my hand, “Oh, yay! It looks like we have a few classes together, you also have some with my siblings!. Poil. Sci., and  Geometry with me, U.S. History with Jasper, and English with Rosalie. They usually meet up with me after classes, so they can help you get to the other ones.” SHe smiles up at me again, and I cant help but huff out a laugh.

She's very energetic, but it's a good change from Bella’s quiet, I think we’ll be good friends.

With that, Alice took my hand in her icy one and dragged me to our shared Poli. Sci class, ignoring the stares that followed us down the hall.
