Chapter 23 part 1

It was finally the day for the chaos to end as a sigh of relief finally came into your mind. You woke up to a house of people looking like they were ready for war . Outside the villas windows you could see hundreds of underlings preparing for their ambush.

You wake up earlier than usual to see Thanatos getting ready and decided to help him. "Sorry mi amor did I wake you?" You shake your head getting up "not at all... Do you need help?" Putting on a f/c robe he had put on your nightstand.

"If you would" he smiled gently while he fixed his tie. Grabbing his coat you helped him put it on making sure to straighten it out. Eventually you weren't through the checklist of things he would need to take. It wasn't likely for him to get hurt but you knew all to well how dangerous it is.

"That's everything" glancing around the room one more time before doing to look at you. "Almost" carefully you took out a locket and put it on him. The locket itself was fairly plain but inside was what you like to think of as goodluck.

"Just for extra luck my love" he smiled at your sentiment and caressed the side of your face "I doubt ill need it when you give me all the luck I could possibly need.... But in exchange" he placed a pocket watch in your hand.

You recognized it since he always kept it in his work sit pocket. It was silver with gold accents, it was on the heavier side with a noticeable dent in it while on the other side it read 'fino alla fine dei tempi'.

After awhile you recognized the watch as the the one his mother gave to him. Remembering you thanked it once since it stopped a bullet from impacting your dearly beloved when you were together one day.

Smiling at each other he gave you a kiss goodbye as he left out the door. He had been looking forward to all the chaos coming to an end.

(Small time skip)

The house was a lot quieter with the majority of residents gone excluding a few maids and body guards at the front door. Like you had been for the past few weeks you were ready to leave at a moments notice in case something happened to Thanatos.

You and Aria had been playing dolls and dinosaurs in the meantime. Before you had started playing Aria had given an in depth explanation on how the dinosaurs belonged in the game

Long story short Luca and Mateo your darling twin axe wielding brothers in law told her that dinosaurs went extinct in their grandmother's time so logically speaking dinosaurs existed at the same time as dolls.

Honestly speaking it was the most adjusting game of dolls you had ever played.

It was around 12 in the afternoon and you had yet to hear any news about how the ambush was going. It was obvious that everyone that remained was on edge even the maids but more importantly Aria as she say quietly listening to your humming.

Suddenly you jumper up and stopped humming. "Sorella?" You put a finger on your mouth signaling to be quiet and slowly ushered her to get her to go bag as you grabbed yours.

After a few seconds of silence you thought you might've misheard the noise .... That was until you heard it

A gun shot
