The past few days had been pretty calm . With slowly adjusting to being back home nothing much had happened . Other than Grandma and lucius hanging out whenever they have the chance. Often involving tales of grandma's youth as concerning as that was.

Thanatos still kept the ankle monitor on you since he was still a little on edge but it stopped bothering you after the showers of kisses he gives to make up for it. It was hard to tell if he felt bad or was happy since he's always apologize smiling.

At some point his work that he had been ignoring piled up. So he started working more and people would often come in the house.

He'd spend most of the day in the office dealing with work and  apparently there were some issues going on. But you had remained so out of the loop at this point the outside world was a mystery.

Sometimes if grandma is napping you'll find lucius in Thanatos's office trying to read one of the hundreds of books in there. Whenever an underling comes in Thanatos had to remind them to keep it child friendly. The best part was that Thanatos was the one who struggled the most doing this since he usually cursed in italian
And he learned lucius could speak italian.

Of course not all underlings moved on from the fact that Thanatos their torture crazed , wife loving, boss now had I mini version of himself. Especially Tony who had mixed feelings about the whole thing but he  ended up being swayed and giving in to the fact after lucius called him uncle.

Your pretty sure he cried tears of joy at that moment because he wouldn't look you in the face. He also would go on about being a good influence to your husband so he'd always stop Thanatos from cursing.

Thanatos had also started bragging about your son to his underlings whenever he got the chance. It seemed as if the entire gang was on board with being hyped for their new 'young master'.

It wouldn't be weird for him to have a fan club at this point.

But other than that there were more important fish to fry. Lucius's birthday was coming up. It had  been almost 5 years since lucius was born. Seeing as it was his first birthday with his dad so everyone was going all out.

Grandma was of course the boss of the party organizing, Thanatos was taking care of presents and guests, and I was told to keep the birthday boy happy.

After alot of talk with Thanatos you guys agreed upon inviting both of you families and having an after party with the gangs.

Which in itself was nerve wracking to say the least since you tried keeping them a secret but lucius was hell bent on seeing Aria and his grandpa Nikolai, or like he likes to call him mishka (bear in russian).

This meant Thanatos would meet your father and adopted siblings and you'd have to prevent a murder against your brothers.

But hopefully the fact it was an excuse to get remarried culled his anger.

Finally when it came to gift planning you both knew exactly what it was going to be.

The day if was finally here.

Lucius had turned five and after alot of planning it was gonna ba a full house. Not everyone on your side could make it but the ones you were closest to were coming.

Such as your brother Levi, Elena, your dad, and two other of your siblings you hadn't seen in awhile Ana and sergey.

(Your adopted father took in alot of kids but these are the only ones in the story we'll really talk about not including one that might create some problems ಠ∀ಠ)

Thanatos had finally agreed to take off the ankle monitor in exchange for no leaving his eyesight and having a tracking device on at all times. If it weren't for the fact he knew your family were assassins he would've kept it on.

It was the morning of the party and you had begrudgingly woke up early. "Morning tigress I left your clothes on the dresser " looking over I see Thanatos in his suit "your up early" looking at the time it was 6am and thanatos had clearly wet hair .

The best eye candy.

"Of course everything has to be perfect besides I call dibbs on waking up the birthday boy" looking at me dead serious " ok ok, at least let me dry your hair my love" he sat on the edge of the bed as you dried his hair.

"Tigress you know I love you right" here we go again "of course I do you won't let me forget it. As long as you keep your tendencies in check there will be no problems" he sighed lightly of relief. "Oh and before I forget watch out for my father he's a big softy for his family and not so much for his inlaws" .

Thanatos nodded and made his way to wake the birthday boy. Since Lucius was born in fall it was pretty chilly so you were glad you had some warmer clothes. You put on a grey sweater (or turtleneck whichever you prefer) and a pair of jeans.

Because it was halloween the entire house was decorated with pumpkins at your son's command since he absolutely loved scary things.

Once done I walked to lucius's room to see if he was ready to go. Before walking in I heard him talking "ok papa be on good behavior" it seemed like lucius was also keeping his father in check " maybe you should be worrying about how to button your own shirt first " .

  Leaving them alone I went to the living room to see granny on the couch "your up early grandma" "oh please speak for yourself " grandma had a habit of waking up as soon as the sun was up so except for occasional cat naps she was a trooper.

"Now during the party enjoy yourself I'll take care of any issues and all you need to do is make sure to eat" nodding I turn my attention to our door which had rung. Following that a little five year old sliding down the hall.

"Mishkas here!"
