Once she had calmed down the boys made sure Y/N was ok.

"Do you need anything?" Sam asked.

"Something to drink and eat would be amazing," she said. She could feel how dry her throat was and how empty her stomach was.

"I'll go get you something," he said and hurried off.

"So what was it like?" Dean asked. She arched her brow at him in confusion. "you're dream world. I've been trapped in one by djinn too. What was your dream life?". She nodded. Dean was the only one who knew of her feelings for his brother.

"You already know," she told him.

"Tell me anyway," he said, "you shouldn't hold it in,". She sighed.

"It was perfect," she told him, "we were married. had a beautiful house. We even had kids,".

"Kids?" Dean asked as she nodded.

"A boy named Dustin and a girl named Merisa," she explained, "Sam was a teacher and I was a painter. And you ran a bar which was called the bunker. Apparently, in my dream world, you had restored the bunker into a bar,".

"Seems like me," he said.

"Cas was the bartender," she said as they both laughed, "and Rowena owned her own art gallery,".

"Sounds kinda normal," he said.

"It was better than normal," she said, "it was perfect for me. We were happy. Sam was so loving. Everything I daydream about,". Dean noticed the sad look on her face.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

"That's all it'll ever be," she said, "The idea of me and Sam. A dream,".

"Have you thought about just telling him how you feel?" Dean asked, "he could feel the same way,".

"Yeah right Dean," she said rolling her eyes, "we both know Sam is way out of my league,".

"I think you might be out of his league," Dean stated.

"Doesn't matter," she said, "it'll never happen and I just have to accept it'll always be a dream,". Just then Sam walked in with a tray. Dean excused himself which just left her and Sam in the room. He placed the tray gently on her lap. She smiled and nodded as she grabbed the glass of ice water on the tray and sipped it. Enjoying how it soothed her throat. It was silent for a few moments as she picked at the salad he made her. Sam seemed to be lost in thought sitting in the chair by her bed.

"I heard what you said to Dean," he finally spoke looking her in the eyes, "about your dream life,". She wasn't sure what to say.

"It's just a dream," she finally said, "they really don't mean anything,".

"It's not just a dream Y/N," he said, "you could have told me. I've felt the same way for a long time,".

"Sam you don't have to say that just to cheer me up," she pointed out. He gently took her hand in his.

"I'm not trying to cheer you up," Sam said. Her eyes met his hazel ones again. She could see the honesty shining in them. "I've been in love with you for a while now. I just didn't know how to bring it up to you,".

"Sam, you can do better than me we both know that," she admitted. Sam moved from the chair to the side of the bed. He gently cupped her face in his hands. The action was small, but enough to catch her off guard

"There is no better than you Y/N," he told her, "we might not ever have the apple pie life but we can have a life together. Hunting, saving people, and just loving each other,". She smiled and gently pulled him to her and kissed him.

"That sounds better than any dream," she said as she hugged him.
