Chapter six

Back At Busan

Jungkook arrived back at his palace, his tears had stopped and he had decided that he'll pretend to not know Jimin until he's crowned King and can do things without his father coming in his way.

He wiped his cheeks just for an assurance. And cleared his throat fixing himself as he had to go in front of his father.

​​​​​​"Welcome back your highness, his majesty is sitting in the meeting hall please go meet him there.", The prince simply nodded to the guard and went to the meeting hall.

He knocked the door and went inside as he heard a 'come in', "ah! My son how did the ball go? Did you find someone?" his father asked, "What do you mean father?", Said the prince a bit confused.

"I mean did you find a maiden to be with?.", Said the king leaning back on his chair.

This made Jungkook's eyes weaver as he slowly spoke, "I didn't father..", the king had a unexpected smile on his face.

"That's good, because i have chosen a few ladies from across the world to come and meet you and for you to choose a queen among them, so now my son come here and take a look at your future queens, i wonder who'll be the lucky one."

Jungkook's heart got heavy but he knew he'll be with the one he loves soon. The prince agreed to see all the princesses for the King's sake and now he was sitting by a window in his chamber. "I miss you already my beloved..", a tear rolled down his cheek as he let out a sad smile.

~Time skip a few months~

A few months has passed Jungkook was close to being 26 and Jimin on the other hand 31. Jungkook's heart always yearned for Jimin, but alas he wasn't there.

Today was the day maidens across the world back to the Jeon Kingdom in hopes of being chosen as the future queen of Jungkook.

"You look so handsome your highness i hope you find a nice, suitable queen for yourself.", Said one of the butlers standing by Jungkook while he got dressed. 

"Thank you Mr. Choi, i appreciate it though I'm very apprehensive and unsure about this Mr. Choi..", the prince said as he's lips quivered. "Why is that your highness? Doesn't even man want a nice wife?", Asked the butler. "Y-you won't understand Mr. Choi." Said the prince as a cold expression engulfed his facial features.

"Prince the princesses are arriving..", said a guard and left with a bow.A shaky breath left Jungkook's lips as he got up and left his chamber followed by the butler and maids. 

"Welcome my son, come here sit beside your father.", Said the king as the prince went by it with a fake smile. "Let us call in the princesses.", Commanded the king and the guards opened the grand double doors in front of the king and the prince.

It's been a few hours Jungkook had selected a princess he thought was alright but mostly for his father, turns out the princess came from Japan and her name was Koharu Nohara.

Jungkook had to put up a fake smile on his face the whole time he was with his father and writing letters to the king of Takayama in Japan about how the princess will be staying here for a few days.

"Father in law has told us to spend time together! How do you feel about that darling?", The princess exclaimed, Jungkook couldn't believe the princess called his father 'Father in law' Jungkook really felt like he would puke but he decided to go along with it.

Jungkook gently lifted up the princess' hand and kissed her knuckles making her giggle with delight, while on the other hand Jungkook's stomach turned with disgust.

"Let us head to the royal gardens shall we my princess?", The prince tried to say as sweetly as he could and walked out of the palace followed by the princess.

Because of the cool winter air, the princess had more reasons to throw herself on the prince even though she had pretty warm clothes on. "It's so cold isn't it honey?", Koharu acted out a shiver and huddled even closer to Jungkook, which made him want to throw her in the garden fountain.

"It sure is.... My love?", Jungkook internally hissed at himself for sounding so unsure but didn't let it show. The princess however grinned from ear to ear when she heard Jungkook say 'My love'.

They walked around a bit more, the prince thinking about when he'll meet his Jimin again and the princess on the other hand was plotting all the ways of lure the prince into bed with her.

"We should go to back in the palace m'lady. Or else we might catch a cold.", Offered the prince at which the princess nodded. The time passed by slowly it was evening now both Jungkook and Koharu were in their rooms, Jungkook would admit that Koharu was pretty yes, her flowy black hair, twinkly hazel eyes, lush lips everything about her was pretty, but Jungkook's heart wanted Jimin and he couldn't change that even if he had to die.

Jungkook was in his room noting down things in his diary when a loud knock on his door jolted him up. The prince strolled over to his door and opened it not expect the princess to leap into his arms and kiss him.

The prince desperately trying to get away finally got out of the hold of Koharu which in result made her pout, "What happened my love? Why did you pull away?", Princess asked giving Jungkook puppy eyes, Jungkook had to hold himself back from slapping her for sure. 

Prince hissed underneath his breath before smiling 'shyly', "I just thought it was too early for us to kiss my love.. we just met today.", An unexpected blush coated Jungkook's ears at which the princess giggled, "You're acting like a maiden! And men don't blush.", The princess spoke out with an insulating glint underneath.

"My apologies your highnesses, but the king wants you both to join him for dinner." Just when Jungkook was about to say something a guard interrupted him. Sighing in relief Jungkook nodded and signalled Koharu to come along for dinner.

The maids that came along with the princess were showering her with compliments even at the dinner table which made Jungkook groan out in annoyance, but everyone on the table was so focused on the Princess no one even batted an eye at the prince. Not like he cared. His mind was not here but back at Seoul where is love is.

The dinner went good expect of the first 20 minutes of everyone complimenting the 'future queen'. Jungkook was seeing off Koharu and was about to go his room, but Koharu had to kiss him, disgusted he spared her a small smile before rushing in his room and closing the door. He wiped his lips in disgust and washed his face.

"This is going to be so difficult without you beside me my grace...", Jungkook whispered referring to Jimin with a whine, before writing a bit more in his diary and going to sleep.
