~Back at the castle~
A loud slap echoed in the throne room. "You're disgusting!", The king yelled out at the prince infront who's head was hanging low. "I should be the one saying so to you for trying to make me forget about the one who i love father!", The prince yelled out trying to stand his ground his eyes were blazing with anger, "My true love i met as such a young age. You wanted me to forget about him and marry some princess because you want your blood line to go on! You never cared about me father!", Jungkook said his eyes filled with tears.
"Get him to his room.", The king ordered with a sigh of frustration. Two gaurds standing beside him nodded and dragged Jungkook out of the throne room and threw him in his chamber.
Jungkook was back in his chambers now he wept into his knees the whispers of him wanting to be with Jimin never stoping. Yoongi and Hoseok heard it from outside the door of Jungkook's chambers, the faint sobbing of Jungkook missing his lover broke their hearts, they looked at each other in sympathy for the young prince.
"It hurts me to see Jungkook like this Yoongi.", Hoseok said looking at the other guard. "We are just mere guards we can't do anything even if it pains us..", Yoongi said sighing wanting this torture towards the prince to end.
~Back at the throne room~
"My king what are you going to do?", The minister said nervously, "We can't declare war.. we will loose we are going to get Jungkook married by tomorrow.. write for Princess Koharu to come back!", The king ordered to the royal messenger and he got to work immediately. Hoseok and Yoongi heard it their hearts fell to the pit of their stomachs they were too shocked about this sudden marriage idea of the king.
"What do we do?!", Hoseok whisper yelled, "The only thing we can do is tell Jungkook about it..", Yoongi said walking to Jungkook's chambers with Hoseok and knocked on the door, "Jungkook...", Yoongi called out for the other to open the door.
Jungkook open the door, the two guards had walked in, "We have something important to tell you Jungkook-ah..", Hoseok said fiddling his fingers, "Im already sad hyung what's bit more?", Jungkook said with a bitter chuckle.
"You're dad has fixed your wedding tomorrow..", Hoseok said out and saw Jungkook's eyes widened in pure shock and terror, "What?!", He exclaimed out. "That can't happen! I-i want to marry Jimin! N-not Koharu!! Hyung! See what Hoseok's saying! He's joking isn't he?!", Jungkook panicked and asked Yoongi while holding his hands on his knees, Yoongi simply shook his head which made Jungkook break down, his tears drenching Yoongi's trousers, "I am sure Jimin is thinking about something back in busan Jungkook.. don't loose hope.", Yoongi said cupping Jungkook's face and making him look up, "You trusted him and waited for him at the first time right?"
Jungkook nodded at him sniffled, "Well, then wait a bit more i am sure he'll be here to save you before Koharu can touch you..", Yoongi said wiping away Jungkook's tears with his thumb, "He will be here.. my prince will be here to save me..", Jungkook whispered with a hopeful smile making Yoongi and Hoseok nod. Jungkook broke down even more and pulled the two into a tight hug. Everything would be great again soon.
With Jimin
The night was nothing but silent. Just the sound of galloping horses, and pants occasionally from the two who were rode them to Seoul, "Tae, do you think it's all my fault? Do you even think he's safe back there?", The questions Jimin asked were the questions Taehyung couldn't answer, because they both knew Jungkook's dad was against homosexuals and he would be treated unfairly and looked down upon by the narrow minded king and his authority. It was in their best interests if they rushed to Seoul at Jimin's castle.
If they didn't take that boat trip, would Jungkook still be safe? Would his identity remain a secret and would he get to spend more time with the other? Was he to blame for all this? Yes he was feeling guilty, because of him someone's life is now endangered. And it's not just anyone it was the one he loved the most. The one he risked everything for. His mind was pacing back and forth with anxious thoughts, at a war with his thoughts he couldn't make up anything, some trying to make sense of the situation and some weighing him down. His fist clenched around the lead of his horse every second he thought about Jungkook being mistreated, but he couldn't do anything. The only person who could help him would be Taehyung, his cousin but alas he didn't know what to do in this situation either.
"Tae I'm scared what if the king decides to marry off Jungkook ?", Taehyung sighed, "Jimin you need to calm down first and don't worry we will get jungkook out of there", Jimin nodded but he felt uneasy. Taehyung knew how paranoid Jimin could get he was trying his best to comfort the other through the journey back to Seoul.
They were back at Seoul everything was unexpectedly quiet they were a few feet back from the castle this is when they hears crying of several people. "What's happening Taehyung..?", Jimin looked at the other confused who shrugged just as much confused as Jimin.
As soon as Jimin and Taehyung entered the castle their eyes filled with terror, Jimin's eyes started to swell with tears, "A-appa...", He whispered he wanted to see his dad standing on the castle entrance waiting for his son to enter and ask him about his journey not see him on his death bed with all the trusted lords, ladies, dukes, duchesses and most importantly the Empress mourning beside.
"Eomma.. how?", He fell to his knees beside his mother who shook her head not knowing how something this bad could've come upon them. Jimin looked at his father still open casket, his face still looked proud and brave, it made Jimin realise he wasn't here to rule the empire anymore.. he wasn't here to be a living role model for children. Jimin bowed his head low and let the tears fall. Taehyung just beside him crying as well.
"Jimin..", Jimin's mother called out her voice raspy from the crying, "Tomorrow you'll be crowned emperor.", The empress said and stood up, "The burial shall commence tomorrow, please close the casket.", The empress said and the casket was closed, "Jimin, Taehyung go rest tomorrow is a big day..", The empress said sighing.
Both Jimin and Taehyung were in their rooms. Jimin was feeling half dead, Jungkook wasn't here, his biggest support left him. He was feeling too weak if Taehyung wasn't here to walk him through this mental torture he wouldn't have been here, but then he wouldn't be able to be with Jungkook his life after everything, everyone would be against him. He didn't care about leadership if he had his Jungkook, Thinking of all this he knew he had to be strong.
"Tomorrow is a big day..", he whispered his mother's words and closed his eyes.
