{ One Year Later }

{ Sora's POV }

I was walking around the town, my eyes gleaming dully. I felt eyes on me and I straightened my posture, narrowing my eyes and flaring my wings slightly. I overhead a conversation in a building and walked in. I saw Asra and a few other guys. I raised a brow slightly and stood there for a while. I picked up on the conversation.

' -What makes you think a woman can do that? '

" ..Women are just as powerful as men. "

' She can't kill three men at once. '

He threw a dart and I caught it, I turned and chuckled lowly.

" That's a bit sexist. A woman can do as she pleases, even kill three men at once with the right mindset. "

I flipped the dart in the air, walking up to the guy and throwing it behind me.
I could care less it hit the center or if it hit the wall.

I crossed my arms under my chest and glowered at the man. He looked at me, amused.

' What the hell are you doing? '

" Whatever I please. Next time I hear bullshit like that I won't hesitate to show you what I truly mean. "

I flashed him a sickly sweet smile and walked out, glancing at Asra. He stood and followed me out.
I sighed and Asra wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me close. He then chuckled softly.

" You surely did impress them. "

" Mm. They had it coming. "

Asra laughed softly and we walked around town, talking and looking around. I felt someone looking at us and I stopped us walking.

" ... "

Asra looked at me, a brow slightly raised. I looked over and saw a kid who was following us. I smiled softly and crouched down, the kid slowly walked over and I took his hands lightly.

" Is everything alright? "

The kid shook his head and I looked over, seeing a grown woman running and looking for the kid. My eyes widened and the kid jumped into my arms. I held the kid close and started running. Asra followed in suit. I carelessly kicked my heels off and booked it to the palace. When I made it to the gates, the guards let me in and I huffed, running into the main hall.

" Nadia! " I yelled, placing the kid down.

Nadia, Portia and a young girl, around the boy's age, ran down. The boy hugged my arm and I huffed, smiling at the girl. Nadia and Portia had adopted her. Her name was Elise. I smiled at the young girl and the boy held my hand as I explained what happened.

{ Months Later }

Asra and I had adopted the young boy, Victor. I was sitting in the library, reading a book. A guard walked in and I looked over, standing.

" Yes? "

' Sora. Someone would like to talk with you. Follow me. '

I nodded and followed the guard, my hands behind my back. He led me to the main hall and I walked down the stairs, seeing a young man, around my age. I stood there in pure silence as he spoke.

' Sora, milady. I need your assistance! My family has gone hungry and... and.. I need your help! I beg you! '

I flinched when he got on his knees. I narrowed my eyes.

" Get up and look at me. "
And so he did.
" I am no ruler, nor am I the queen. But I will get Queen Nadia. Stay here. "

I turned on my heel and walked upstairs to find Nadia.
" Nadia. "
' Yes, Sora? '
" ..A man came to visit and needs assistance. "
Nadia followed me and saw the young man.
' I have food in the kitchens. You may come here daily to get food... '

I walked off, knowing Nadia had taken care of the situation.
I watched as Elise and Victor run down the halls. I laughed quietly and continued walking.
As I walked I felt myself slowing down, hands dropping to my side.
I sighed and walked to the baths, spare clothes in my hand. I quietly knocked, as to not make sure anyone was in there.
No answer.
I quietly walked in and closed the door behind me and peeled my clothes off and didn't bother putting the robe on since it was just me.

As I sat in the bath, I sighed and fell into my own thoughts. I sighed slowly and allowed myself to sink slowly in, my head on the surface.
I started bathing myself as I gazed outside. I heard a knock on the door and wrapped my wings around myself, turning.
I recognized that knock.

" Come in~ "
I sang, chuckling as the door opened.
Asra looked at me and smiled. I held my arms out and he handed me the robe. I turned away from him and put the robe on. I felt him pull me close to his chest and we both started talking.

After a while, I was back in the library, looking through some of the books, my brow furrowed.
Asra saw my expression and walked over
" What is it? "
I looked at him and sighed.
" This history is.. odd. I don't know. "
" What's it on? "
" ..This palace. "

Asra nodded slowly and read the book with me as we sat in comfortable silence. I lifted my head up when I heard two kids laughing as they ran by. I chuckled quietly to myself and leaned on Asra. He wrapped an arm around me and I chuckled softly, kissing his jaw and walking out the library, watching the kids. I grinned and ran after them, laughing as they yelled and ran faster.
I soon stopped and went to the gardens, then saw Nadia and Portia together. I smiled and went to the fountain, playing with my ring. I looked over and saw Asra walking over to me. I took his hands in my own and smiled. He kissed my nose lightly and I chuckled softly. I pulled away from his grasp lightly and looked into the water.

For the rest of the day, Asra and I stayed together at the palace.
