"I can't believe tomorrow is the day King Xerxes will come to the castle," Lady Sarah says to the other women with her in the saloon.

"That monster who is always frowning? Please, I'd take Our Lord over him any day," Lady Quinn retorts rolling her eyes.

"I don't know Quinn, that frown that is always on his face is enticing," Regina says, as she sips from her cup.

"Well you should hold yourself, Regina, Princess Saya is going to be with him," Lady Mara says, a few of the women sighing and muttering under their breath in discontentment.

"Rumor says she's pregnant," Amice chips in with a smile.

"I want to be pregnant," Ginger whispers

"We will know if those rumors are true by tomorrow," Sarah says.

"We shouldn't forget about the amazing job Lady Laila has done to put the celebration together," Lady Garnet says, smiling at Laila.

"I wouldn't have done it without you, and Amice," Laila returns her smile.

"Oh, it's nothing! I enjoyed every bit of it," Amice says proudly.

"We'll see if it goes on without a hitch," Quinn counters in a low tone, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"Do you know something Quinn? You are so bitter," Regina spits in disgust.

"You know nothing about me, Regina. Just because you have a lover on the side, that the king cares nothing about does not mean you can judge me."

The ladies gasp. Did Quinn really have to bring up the fact Regina has a lover? Everyone knew but no one said a thing, because Regina is the first woman of Stephan, she commands respect!

Regina chuckles, looking directly at Quinn, "Yes, I have a lover, and it's not that the king doesn't care, it's that the king is okay with it, the difference needs to be learned. Even if the king does not care, isn't it better than embarrassing myself by constantly whining and following the king around like a mosquito knowing full well he will never love me?"

"Wow," Garnet says, holding back her laugh.

Quinn's mouth jitters in anger, as she tries to breathe normally despite the insult Regina had just rained on her.

"Have a good morning ladies," she stands, heading to the door.

"Do well to come out in the afternoon. Remember, the king always has a talk with us before any celebration," Regina calls out right before Quinn bangs the door.

Lady Sarah sighs, "Why do gatherings like this always have to end in fights?"

"Because everyone loves the king," May replies

"Speak for yourself. I became the king's woman because of financial security. I love that I can buy whatever I want," Amice says.

"So materialistic," Mara mutters.

"They never leave me, like humans do," she smirks.

As small talk goes on for about an hour or two, Laila can't help but think about tomorrow. She will finally get to see Saya. Her dislike for the young girl seized the moment she realized how petty she was, for disliking someone she has never met, because of her feelings.

The problem is when will she get to see her? During the celebrations? Will King Stephan let her go to the celebrations? He is still yet to come around.
