"Leave me alone, my stomach just hurts!" Laila screams in pain, as the men attempt to get her off the bed.
The cramping had refused to leave her for the past hour, and it was becoming unbearable.
Thomas watches as the men get Laila off the bed. Standing, she looks at Thomas, her eyes watering, sweat all over her body.
"We don't want you to lose your babies or yourself," he says, with a sad smile.
"You don't want to lose your power source!" she bites back, struggling to break away from the men's grip.
"I could've sworn you called me your sister. Is that how you're supposed to treat me?!"
"As a sister, you should do anything for your brothers," Thomas replies."Not when they have done nothing but brought me pain," she counters, angrily.
"I have told you that these babies are not worth it-"
"YOUR LIFE IS NOT WORTH IT!" she yells, suddenly, feeling something between her legs.
No...please no!
Thomas looks down on the floor, the brothers holding her, doing the same.
Her water just broke.
"Take her to those chambers, and make sure everything is prepared."
"No...please!" she begs, groaning as they attempt their mission. Laila presses her feet to the floor, biting her lip, upon feeling another squeezing pain.
Giving up, her brothers lift her off the floor, taking her to the chambers where she is laid on the bed.
Laila tries to get up but they hold her back down.
"Keep her steady, when you feel she's about to start pushing, she needs to be on her knees," Thomas says to the men, placing a large bowl on the table so that it is surrounded with lit candles, as he recites something.
Tears well up in Laila's eyes as she groans in pain, her eyes monitoring what her so-called brother is doing.
"Get me the lamb's blood," he says to one of the men who hands him a jar. Taking it, he continues his recitation, pouring the blood into the bowl, walking around the table, sprinkling a dust-like substance as he continues his mumbling. Laila cries out, the pain becoming unbearable.
"It takes at least a week to get there, but I will be back before you deliver our babies."
"Promise me."
"I promise," he says, meeting her lips.
"LIAR!!!" she screams, throwing her head back into the bed, in pain, tears, and sorrow.
Suddenly, the room vibrates a bit, making everyone stop what they're doing, except Laila who is shifting her head from side to side in pain.
"What is going on?" Thomas asks one of his brothers who shrugs.
"Ah!" they hear one of their men yelling.
"We're under attack! AH-" comes another voice, which dies instantly, as if he had been sliced through the throat.
"Guard me!" Thomas yells, and the men leave Laila, as Thomas walks towards her, grabbing her by the hair, making her yelp in pain.
"Listen to me Laila, you need to push those babies out right now."
"They're not coming!" she exclaims, feeling the contractions even more.
"Isn't there something to make this faster?!" Thomas asks his brothers, but none of them know. Thomas is the one that had the entire plan, all they did was follow his lead because he was the one that gave them a good life.
