Laila cannot and does not want to comprehend what she just heard. King Stephan sent all of the women except her out of the castle?
Annoyingly, she looks up at Sandra.
"I'm not lying, My Lady!"
Laila gets up, and practically runs out of the room, going to their chambers one by one, and one by one, she is met with empty rooms.
Why did they leave? More importantly, how did they leave so soon, and without starting an argument for that matter? She knows for one, Georgi is not someone that would just leave! Neither are the rest of the women.
"Well, the king said he did not want any of them here, because the princess was coming and he needed her stress level to be zero throughout. No one had the courage to argue, because he was very angry when he left his chambers, and everyone could feel it. He practically had his men, throw their things inside their chests, and take them to the carriages. I do not know where they went, neither do I care."
Sandra explaining this made Laila realize she had voiced her thoughts out loud, but there was no harm in it, given the load of information she got.
She notices her maid's smile, and can't help but feel she has gotten the wrong idea.
"He probably feels something for -"
"No Sandra, please. He's doing everything for the princess. Honestly, I do not care. Once this is over, I will go back to where I belong."
She gives her friend no room to debate her, as she goes back into her chambers, and falls on her bed. The castle will now be free of the king's women and his army. She wonders how quiet it will be.

When the two soldiers of Moore came rushing into the castle with the princess, Laila panicked. They had successfully fled the war zone and came to Sheath, but the princess was unconscious because she was bitten by a snake. The physician was called immediately, and expertly, he worked on her, making sure he did not leave till her fever was gone.
Laila was worried, she did not want anything to happen to the princess or her baby. It would cost her, her life, and her friend.
"It seems like she has a god in her womb," he said to Laila, making her release her breath. Saya and her baby were going to be fine.

Three days, it took for the princess to finally open her eyes, and in those three days Laila felt like her recovering from unconsciousness would never happen. Her mind kept thinking of the type of punishment she would receive from Stephan had the princess not opened her eyes.
One would say the king would not blame her because it happened as they were coming to Sheath, but she knows Stephan. She knows how he treats her, and this would certainly be pinned on her. That is why when the princess opened her eyes, Laila almost cried...she would not die...yet.
She had explained to the princess that King Xerxes would be fine, as they had never lost a war, and her pregnancy is a way to reassure her that the king would certainly come back to her. It would be a lie if she was not jealous of the princess. Xerxes loves her to death and would do anything for her, while she was tied to someone who felt nothing for her.
Princess Saya had taken a shower and was met with her maid Nabir, who had also expressed joy, seeing her awake. The woman refused to leave her side, and when the princess awoke, she was sleeping beside her, on a chair.
Everything was fine, Laila had gotten fruits for Saya, Nabir was introduced to her, and King Xerxes' men had finally stopped 'crying' from worry.
Peter and Julius of Sal were twins, and quite handsome at that, but as Julius was calm and collective, Peter was dramatic and funny.
