"I'm sorry, but switching rooms at this time isn't allowed. Everyone has been given their specific room number already. Sorry again, Miss. Jerm.
Rejected. I've never heard that before. As a blue, in my small town I always got what i'd asked for. However here and now I have been rejected in switching rooms. I couldn't even say anything else to my former guide. I stood mouth open in shock. Me? A blue? Rejected a room switch with a red? I was beginning to regret not getting a job to help pay for a Blue Only school.
What would I tell my mom? I wanted to argue, but I knew better than to talk back. I watched the Blue lady walking away as I finally shut my mouth, hands turning to fists in frustration.
I reached my dorm room again. I prepared myself to open the door with a big breath in. I couldn't help but hold it while I knocked.
He opened the door with a fake perplexed expression. His short, straight, and shaggy hair reached his eyes. He needed a haircut, I thought.
Shirt fitted to his lean muscles I couldn't help but look, however I knew I had been staring too long. His fiery eyes burned into my skin as I felt him notice.
"Didn't work did it, Princess?"
My face burned enough to give me a reds skin tone. What was wrong with me..? Princess?
"I...Yeah no it didn't work."
"Well that's okay know you get to meet more of me!" He game me that same crooked smirk this time a few teeth showing through.
"I don't know why you're pretending to act surprised you knew it wouldn't work." I huffed, pushing past him with my boxes to find my bedroom.
All I heard was a laugh signifying I was correct in my assumptions. I continued forward in the lush dorm. A large window adorned the back wall. I stared through at the beautiful view as carpet caressed my feet beneath me.
"Pretty right?" I heard a deep voice to my side, breath brushing my skin with it. I quickly turned creating a space.
"Some personal space maybe? You know about that?" I held my tongue, about to add an 'obviously not, you're a red'. However, I don't think it would be a good idea to get a Male Red angry with me. Especially put in a situation to share a room together.
"It is pretty though.." The scenic view brought me back to earth as I calmed, finally answering a question of his.
"That's the first thing I thought when I got here." He said as he rested on a couch facing the window. The sun hit his deep rosey skin, he was practically glowing in this light. Not to mention his eyes..
I smiled looking at him, until I was brought back to reality.
Immediately I was ashamed that i'd even been thinking that way. My eyes widened, and my smile quickly faded as I ran to my room with my things.
"The names Derek!"
He echoed behind me as I shut my door.

After setting my room up particularly to accommodate my needs of perfection, I headed back out to retrieve my class schedule.
I still wore the same thing I'd arrived in; A blue sundress with little white flowers displayed across it. I wore my white flats, and my hair down. My hair reached its usual collar bone length with its slight wave. It bounced as I quickly descended the quartz steps.
I turned to see the table, and Derek. Girls flocked around him, I suppose they notice the good looks too. Nonetheless his constant flirting and need for attention told me all I needed to know, obviously I could never even be friends with him. A stereotypical red.
Quickly retrieving my packet,I moved quickly past the crowd to get back to my room.
Once inside the view had turned to a vast night sky. The stars danced to their own beat. I became sleepy, and before I knew it was in my bed sleeping under the playful stars.
