Andy : so are you happy the team will stop calling you probie now and will find someone to pick on ,give all the dirty work to
Robert :yeah i am but it's still weird you know being demoted but at least no more cleaning toilets or seating in the probie seat
Andy was going in for kiss to console Robert but she was interrupted by maya calling her
Andy: gotta go
Robert: ok
Andy : you wanted to see me
Maya :yeah you know we are going to have a new probie would you like to mentor her and partner up with her
Andy wanted to say yes and be this role model for the new young firefighter but she thought that Robert would be better off doing it and it would give him some new responsibilities
Andy: actually would you mind if Sullivan does it , she has a lot more experience in the academy and in mentoring plus it's a tradition for the old probie to break in the new probie
Maya: I just thought after you with kat that you would like to mentor but ok Sullivan can mentor her I will speak to him
Okay thank you captain Andy said excited for her husband
Andy's POV
I don't know why I gave the Robert the opportunity I guess just when you love someone you their happiness becomes your happiness I noticed how down he seemed since he got demoted and during his probation period he just seemed like he was losing interest in going to work since he wasn't in the team's inner circle or their captain or Cheif anymore he felt awkward and intense when we were on shift I could've sworn he wanted to stay home instead of going to work don't get me wrong he still loved fighting fires and helping families but it's when we came back from calls he seemed down

Maya calls for line up
And here she was the new probie
Maya: probie I think you might wanna introduce yourself said to the girl anxiously standing at the end of the line up
Probie: hello everyone my name is gabberla Lopez , gabby for short ummm she stuttered not knowing what else to say
Travis :how old are you cause you look very young like too young to have drink or pay a lottery ticket young
Gabby: um i'm 19 I finished school early at 16 and got into paramedic school for 2 yrs then the academy and also I don't drink I'm Muslim
Vic :wait what you don't drink good luck comping with the job
Maya :that's enough and by the way Sullivan as per tradition you will be responsible for gabby
Line up was over and everyone went to the beanery to get breakfast
Gabby just stood there looking at Sullivan all weird he noticed
Sullivan : why are staring at me like that probie
Gabby: nothing sir umm it's that in... in the academy you were like a legacy and for you to mentor me is like a huge honor to me sir she said rambling and stuttering
Sullivan : kissing my ass won't make me go easy on you if that's what you're getting at
Gabby:no..no..no sir I was just..
Andy: y'all are interested in breakfast or what?
Sullivan: yes obviously probie come get ur fuel we have a lot of drills to run plus you have alot of cleaning to do
Gabby: yes sir and ma'am
Andy: don't call me ma'am Herrera is fine or lieutenant if you wanna he so formal
Gabby:yes ma. Lieutenant umm gonna go she left hesitantly feeling out of place
Robert walked up to Andy who was just a few steps ahead
Robert: she is anxious I don't about her is she really firefighter material or do we have a new Dickson
Andy: hey give her a chance it's her first five minutes
Robert POV
Even though Robert wasn't one to get flattered by compliments he couldn't stop feeling somewhat happy at gabby telling him she thought he was a legacy he hadn't felt that way in a long time his peers don't respect him since he isn't their boss anymore but gabby respected him
At the beanery table the team were gossiping about gabby
Ben: she seems nice and polite
Dean:she is a scared puppy i dont know man
Vic: ok this might just be me but she looks weirdly like Herrera
Travis : I was gonna say that you took the words right out of my mind
Maya: I don't know I don't see it
Andy walks in just hearing Herrera and not the whole context of the sentence
Andy: I just heard my name what are y'all gossiping about
Robert stood their curious
Maya: Vic thinks the new probie looks like you
Andy: what that's crazy
Gabby walks in confused as to way everyone is staring at her
To break the awkward silence she asks what was for breakfast
Dean : I made some bacon and eggs you can find some in that there he points
Gabby: thank you she smiles
She goes and only takes the eggs which confuses Miller who is the biggest fan of bacon
Dean: you don't like bacon?
Gabby: I have never tried it it's forbidden in Islam to eat
She knew that it would weird them out that she doesn't drink or eat bacon but she hoped that they would respect
Dean: that's cool but you're missing out he said trying to sound supportive
Gabby sits in the empty chair next to Andy which only makes them stare that her further trying to see if Vic is right
Vic whispering to Ben whose is

Vic: see what I'm on about they have the same eyes nose , hair & face shape
Ben: yeah I'm starting to see it
Andy got sick of them staring at her and gabby
Andy: can y'all stop staring at the girl you're making her uncomfortable
They apologized noticing how they were making it harder for gabby to feel welcomed with their stares and gossip
Ben: hey gabby so you're paramedic too that will be beneficial when you're in aid care
Gabby: yeah sir i am paramedic school was a pain in the ass
Travis : the hardest portion of the job to most probies is the medical aspect
Robert finished his breakfast and got up
Robert : probie meet me in the barn in five he said sternly
Gabby: yes sir
She then tired to finish her eggs as quickly as possible after she was done she Thanked the lord in arabic
Grabbed her plates washed them stocked them in there places and left
Andy : we'll at least she cleans after herself
Jack was just observing all this time he kinda thought the probie was cute and wanted to keep that to himself considering his history with all the women of 19
Dean: dude you haven't said anything since lineup
Jack: yeah I think she is nice he said trying not to give too much detail
Vic: so everyone thinks she is nice cool let's hope she can fight fires we don't need anymore cowards
Meanwhile
Robert was going over dummy drills with gabby he just wanted he go drag the dummy but was shocked when she carried it over her shoulder like it was nothing
Robert : how in the hell...
Gabby: I took this coarse for women in military, police , fire
And they thought me how to carry dummies atleast the standard 167 lb ones she said causally still carrying the dummy
Robert realized he had the bar for her very low and decided to raise it a bit wanting to see when will she give up or ask him to go easy on her
Robert : okay I want you to. Go up and down the stairs
Gabby: how many times sir
Robert : you tell me he said giving her a challenging look
Without a second thought she goes to the stairs and does as he ordered
The team where observing still suprised that they underestimated her
Gabby made it up and down 4 times before her legs started to fail but she couldn't let him win so she drops the dummy and starts to drag it up the stairs then down for 3 more times but her legs gave out on that last time
Robert : not bad probie
Gabby: t...hanks sir... she said still not able to catch her breathe voice trembling
Robert : but you weren't wearing your gear so you're gonna take a break and come back to do it again with gear
Gabby: what gabby almost yelled
Robert : excuse me Robert said raising his eyebrows and putting his hand on his waist
Gabby: I mean yes sir she said excused while still on the floor as her legs have given out
Jack: how much do y'all think she weighs
Vic: i dont know like 130 pounds give or take
Jack : the dummy is like 167
Herrera : I don't think I can honestly do that
Maya: I think we need tips from the probie that was incredible
Jack: yeah I can't carry that dummy like that
Robert left gabby to catch her breath
Gabby curses him under her breath In arabic
Vic , Andy and maya go over to her
Andy lends her hand to get up
Gabby thanks her
Maya: that was incredible btw the whole team is impressed including Sullivan
Andy: yeah he isn't the complementing type
Vic: you're seriously awesome we finally have a new badass girl on our squad
Gabby: thanks your words mean the world to me
Andy excused herself leaving maya and Vic befriending gabby
Andy goes to Robert's bunk
Robert : hey babe he says winking at her
Andy:NO I'm not here for that
Robert he goes close to her so now she can feel his breath on her
Andy; you have to go easy on her don't burn her out from day 1
Robert : hmm he said his hands. Were wondering on Andy's body
Andy: listen to me go easy on her it's her first day
Robert : what do I get in return. He said flirtously
Andy:seriously she said speechless at how horny he suddenly became
