T.W - talking about male genitalia (mostly censored)
I'm back! Can't wait to see all of you again. Today we're talking about tucking.
What is tucking? Well, tucking is when someone who is biologically male tucks their genitalia so they can look more feminine/androgynous. There's a lot of misinformation about tucking, so if anything is incorrect feel free to let me know!
First off, please know you don't have to tuck to be your gender. You can tuck only for special occasions, very often, or even not at all! It's up to you.
So, how do you tuck? Here's some different (safe) methods:
T3st1cl3s: While doing this, take your time, be careful and don't rush. Stop if you need to. So, you need to first find the inguinal canal. Pop them in, if you can. Some may not be able to do this if their canal is smaller. If you can't, just slide them behind your legs.
P3n1s: You can tuck with or without tape. Always cover the uretha with toilet paper so you don't get an infection.
Using Tape - if you're using tape, make sure it's medical/sports/trans tape so you don't hurt yourself. Pull it from behind and squeeze your legs so it doesn't slip. Then, apply tape from pelvic floor to shaft 2-4 times. Pass to the back and tape up either your hip or your spine.
No Tape - Two pairs of underwear (girl's boyshorts work especially well) will work, just push it pack carefully and pull them up.
Additionally, a gaff can help to finish off the tucking.
A gaff is a pair of compression underwear. You can buy or make one. To make a gaff, you need two things: Tights and an old sock. Cut the waistband off the tights and cut a part of the elastic section from the sock. Thread the waistband through the sock. Now step on either side of the sock and pull it up. There you go!
Don't: tuck for long periods of time, sleep tucked, use duct tape or other unsafe methods, tape freshly shaven skin
Do: take breaks, stop when you feel pain, shave hair so tape doesn't pull on it
What are the dangers of tucking? Just like binding, there are some health problems that could come from tucking (especially if you're doing it unsafely). Here's some possible issues though:
Issue - cause - likelihood
Torn skin - using duct tape to tuck - extremely likely
Inguinal hernia - Inguinal canal method - not very likely
UTI/yeast infection etc. - sleeping tucked, not cleaning gaff properly - fairly likely
Annnddd yeah that's about it for tucking! Remember, you do not need to tuck to be valid. You do not need to tape yourself everyday or wear a gaff everyday. You are valid and you are not 'faking it' if you don't or can't tuck. It is no one else's business but your own if you choose to tuck or not. You can pass without tucking. Please take care of yourself! If anyone has things they'd like me to add then just let me know c:
