(v.) To travel purposefully towards an unknown destination, to travel in a purposeful manner towards a vague destination
Sand.
Sand.
Sand.
Sand.
Sky.
Sun.
In all directions, all I could see was sand, sky and sun. Not a single civilization in sight.
"Fuck this, fuck that, fuck you sand! And fuck you too sun!" I complained while walking across the sand, the sun at it's highest peak and glaring down at me, "at this rate I'm going to get skin cancer!"
I huffed, feeling sweat pouring from my body as I squinted in hopes to see better from the sun, but much to my chagrin, it was too damn bright.
"I should've stayed home and become a shut in.." I muttered while putting the small kitten in my messenger bag in hopes to keep them in the shade and protect them from the sand.
Off in the distance, I took a notice of a peculiar shape, so I tried shading my eyes and squinted even more, "I don't know if it's a hallucination, but if it's a building, i'll take my chances!" I lifted the messenger bag to my arms to avoid jumbling the cat around and ran towards the building or apparition.
It took time to get there due to running in sand, but it was well worth it because it was an actual building. It was a temple in fact and it was beautiful.
there was a city close by the temple, so that was good, but hopefully a priest or priestess could aide me.
I hadn't realized I was falling until I was staring at the sky with the sun glaring down at me in triumphant. I was out in the sun for too long, and the effects of being dehydrated was beginning to take effect.
I soon plunged into darkness.
A soft lullaby was resonating somewhere in the dark, the feeling of my hair being combed reminded me of when I was a child with my mother, back when she doted on me.
