Y'all fam! And you have no idea what it meant to me, so here y'all go. I appreciate.Ty POV
I'm excited for the day to be over with. Abigail is picking me up. She picks me up twice a week and I'm loving it. Lately she's been teaching me how to drive. I think I'm a pro if you ask me.
The final bell rang and I ran down the steps. I didn't even say bye to my friends. They'll text me. Abigail was in the front of the pick up line. Yes. I hopped in the car and put my bag in the back seat. She drove out the parking lot. We got a about a block up the rode and she pulled over and took her seat belt off. I literally be hopping in my seat. I crawled over the armrest and into the drivers seat. Yesssss. I put my seatbelt on and adjust the mirrors. I'm ready. I hit the gas. We head on home. Abigail basically lives here now. She used to come over for long stays then go home and come back. Now she's been here for like a month and hasn't left. I guess it's okay. We're cool now. She actually be saving me sometimes. Dad just a different person when she's around. I'm cool with it. Not a bad different. A different, different. What ever saves my ass. Literally.
We get home and I go in the house to do homework. Abigail and I have an understanding. I act right. She treat me right. I can live with it. I do homework at the table today and not in my room. I've got a lot to do. I work until dad walks through the door. He comes in and wraps his arm around my shoulders. I put my hand on his arm. He walks around to Abigail. He kisses her on the lips. Ew. "Watch's working on?" He goes into the kitchen. I guess he's starting dinner. "Ugh, a math project. I understand the math. It's just hard. And on top of all the other work I have to do. I'm just tired. I wanna go to bed." Dad smirked. "You can do it baby." I rolled my eyes. Do I have a choice?
Dad continues to make dinner. I continue to work. By the time dinner is done, so is my math project. Praise bob. I only have science left. That'll be easy. Leave my homework on the table and go to the island. Abigail and I sit down. Dad opts to stand. Be my guest. Dad made Chicken parm with asparagus. Dad and Abigail mostly talked. I was just there. I was really thinking bout what grade I would get on the project. Dad and Abigail were talking about work tea. Now that I think about it, I don't know what Abigail does for a living. "Abigail do you still work at wing place?" She laughed. I'm glad she not mad I cut her off. She regained herself. "No love. I don't. I work at the center of arts as a logistics manager. I basically plan all the big trips. I make sure they have food, a place to park, goodie bags, and all that good stuff. It's actually quite basic, but pays way more than the wing place." I can only imagine. I really need to pay more attention. I feel like these are things I should know. Oh well.
After dinner I head upstairs and decided to finish science in my room,... on the phone with Lloyd. He's still working on his math project. Chile, I got that shit out the way. While on the phone, I blew through science. It was easy. Lloyd was still struggling. I stayed up with him as long as I could before I had to shower. I try to make my life as easy as possible. I tell him good night and call it a day. Finishing my shower, I walk out of my room and knock on dads door. Abigail tells for me to come in. She's laying in the bed under the covers. I hear the shower running. (Not tears) "I just came to say goodnight. Night Abigail." I raise my voice and scream over the shower.(maybe tears) "Night dad! Love you." I hear a faint love you too. I walk back across to my room. I close the door and lay on my bed. Do I love Abigail?
