Ty Pov.

It's been a month since Adonis was born. The whole house is exhausted. Nobody has slept a full night since he came home. It was to be expected, but damn. Demrest and I are at each others neck all the time. Abigail is at Dads neck all the time and he's always at ours. Blame it on sleep loss, but we've both been lowkey mad disrespectful. We just both know they're too tired to do anything.

Dad and Abigail are on Maternity and Paternity leave. So I take Demrest and I to and from school. It's a become a gruesome task. Every morning she's bitchy. She doesn't get in trouble at school though. I thank her for that. Is not like they'd do anything. But Id still feel a little bad.

Today we're suppose to go to Nana house and have dinner. We haven't done it for about 2 months. Abigail's last month of pregnancy was rough on everyone.

I am already dressed. Might as well get Adonis ready. I knock on my Dads door. He's shaking a bottle. With Adonis in his other hand. I don't even say anything. I just walk over and take him out his hand. Abigail in the shower. He looks relived. He never ask us to help. He says this is his kid not ours. Demrest and I never mind though. I go to my room and feed him. He's so adorable. He looks like Abigail.

I burp him and change his diaper. He's actually a very easy going kid. I changed his clothes and put on his socks. I take him downstairs. Now we wait.

Abigail was down first. She took him out of my hands and put him in the car seat. Demrest still isn't down. I hear Dad calling for her. "Demrest lets go!" I hear her grown. Man. She can go home. Ugh. This is her home. Anyways. She stomps down the steps. Here we go.

We all make our way into the car with no problems. The car ride was silent. Abigail was falling asleep. Demrest was on her phone. I looked at Adonis the whole time.

When we got Nana house, we were the last to arrive. We used to be the first. I get out the car and take Adonis in the house. I take a seat on the couch. Ugh. I'm tired. We all are. Adonis keeps us on our toes. Nana loves him though. Anthony and Antrez come in the room. Anthony takes Adonis out the car seat. Antrez hugs me and Demrest. Demrest acts like she doesn't want him touching her. She must be on her period.

Anthony handed the baby off to Antrez and Anthony came over and sat between me and Demrest. Demrest gave Anthony a hug. He's easily her favorite. They be rock climbing and shit together. Couldn't be me. Abigail and Dad were outside talking to Nana.

"So Ty, what's going on with you? What are your plans after high school?" Oh God. I'd been dreading this conversation. "Uh, I've still got some decisions to make." He nodded. All three of them walked in. Anthony commented. "Where you thinking about going? Staying in state? Going outa state?" I sighed again. Demrest looked over at me.

"What's for dinner, I'm hungry?" Anthony looked at her. "Antrez making baked chicken and rice." She nodded. Nana started asking about Adonis. Everyone started listening. I went into Antrezs old room. Demrest followed me.

"Thanks Demrest!" She smiled and shrugged. "I know you don't want to talk about it right now. Let's hope we make it through dinner. I know it's gonna come back up. I'll try my hardest." I hugged her. She's a goat for this one. We both laid in his bed and played on our phones. 

I don't know what's next for me. I don't know what I want to do. I don't know if I want to go to college. I don't know if I want to just get a job. I don't know if I just want to bum off my parents for a while. Ugh I can't do that. I don't know I have going on.

"Ty! Demrest! Come here!" Antrez called us. Fuck he want. We both walk into the kitchen with caution. "Y'all come sit out here, don't be hiding in the room. Come hang with the old people. Ty your grandma misses you." I roll my eyes. Demrest takes a seat near me at the table. Dad's head is in his hand as he sleeps. Abigail is barely following the conversation. She's about to fall out too. Antrez is listening from the counter doing something with the food. Anthony and is talking about work. Nana is bouncing Adonis on her leg. I want to go back to the room. Dem stays engrossed in her phone the whole time. I'm looking for a way out.
