CHAPTER THREE:
ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ᴅʀᴇᴀᴍs ᴀɴᴅ ʀᴇᴀʟɪᴛʏ

"What are your names again?" Mickey asked the two men. I've been with them for a while now, but I still don't know their names, so Mickey's question was a good one.

"I'm Ford," answered the man with brown hair.

"Do you have mixed blood? You kind of look like you do," Mickey asked him.

"My mom is Filipino, and my dad is Filipino-Brazilian," Ford replied.

"And you? What's your name?" Mickey asked the man with black hair.

"Nathan," the man answered.

Mickey was about to say something when Nathan spoke first.

"I'm going to sleep," Nathan said before lying down.

"Wait... Is this place even clean?" Mickey asked.

"We don’t have a choice," Nathan replied before closing his eyes.

Ford lay down as well, but Mickey and I remained sitting.

"You guys should lie down. You'll have a hard time like that," Ford told us.

"I don't want to. It's dirty," Mickey replied.

"So picky," Ford teased.

"Here, use my arm as a pillow," Ford said, patting his shoulder.

"Ah, no need. Your arm will go numb," I said before leaning against a tree.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

When I opened them again, I was back in my room. I looked at the clock—it was already 8:30 AM.

I went downstairs and prepared my breakfast. While stirring my coffee, I started thinking.

Was that really just a dream? Why did it feel so real?

After eating, I took a shower.

As I took off my clothes, a single leaf fell to the floor.

Wait... Could it be…? Was it really just a dream? But if it was, how did I get back here? And how did I get out of that forest? I don’t understand. I’m so confused.

I went outside to let Mallow, my dog, do his business.

That’s when I noticed a man with black hair, standing in front of an ice cream vendor with his back turned to me.

A lot of people have black hair, but for some reason, something about this guy felt different. I decided to ignore him and looked back at Mallow.

Wait… Where’s Mallow?
