"The city sky's feeling dark tonight. We're back to back with our heads down."

- Run to you (Lea Michele)

Ryder's P.O.V

It was raining. Getting drenched at the heavy rain that washes away some of the trees that still wanted to live and survive. The wind that is whooshing that is making me feel deaf to its pressure but I just watched it with my own eyes. The tragedy of the typhoon that is taking the life of humans and its nature. If not physically, it'll be how us humans survive. No food, no clean water, no everything. Not even a place to live in to sleep. It'll be the end of humanity. I'm merely just a living dead who had been just waiting for my time to end.

I just looked at the dark clouds while shivering, clothes that hugged tight within my body. Blinking rapidly as I see the thunder flashes through it and a rumbling sound caused by it. But it wasn't directed near me nor myself at all. I would be glad to see for myself that it'll cause such a tragedy for myself to be struck by it. I had been adopted by someone who wanted to have a son just to make me someone like him. A successor where he'd push someone through their limits to make me learn how to play piano, study math, and everything that would make it look like I'm a genius.

But I don't have any motivation at all. Getting hit at was one thing I find it hard to live even more harder. When I ask for a break, whenever I fail at something, he would throw things at me or hit me until I break. Not until he found out that he had lung cancer that had already spread out on his body. Hearing that he had been admitted in the hospital and three days later he had died. Leaving me all alone with his home that didn't even survive. Everyone hated him and took the opportunity to leave. However, one person stayed with me.

Falling asleep in my bed and expecting to wake up with her gone but she didn't. She offered me small food that all she could find in the kitchen of where I am living. Giving me a small smile and a pat on my head after she had fed me. It was she who had tried to help me to stop Ernill, the stepfather that took me in from the church. Claiming that he is my far relative so he's qualified to take me in. And hearing that Uncle Dom had lost his mind and locked himself up in his own room which made him unqualified for. Carter is in the hospital with Mason by his side.

"Líame, you shouldn't stay here or you'll get sick." I opened my eyes and turned around to see her hazel eyes staring back at mine with full concern. I let the raindrops fall onto my face and the coldness of the weather that unfortunately comforted the color of my world didn't make me shiver in the cold at all. Emilia frowned as she ran her eyes at me from top to bottom. Holding an umbrella to cover herself from the rain. Still blinking, I didn't speak. My lips shut into thin lines. Líame Rossi was the name I was given by Ernill Rossi. The wicked man who's isolated and mysterious in a negative manner. He hated me a lot and told me he shouldn't have adopted me when I couldn't even smile when he demanded it. Not a single bit. I couldn't because I had forgotten to smile.

It isn't something that I could force myself to. He had tried to change my existence and the whole unchanging events that had happened that would forever be carved into my head and heart. The lifeless soul that is still living in a pointless world. Yet, this woman who had stayed with me to take care of the soulless boy is still here. Scolding me like a sister would do to its brother. I don't get why she's still here but I didn't question it. They're wasting their time on me when they could have just left because I got nothing to offer. I'm just a burden with no money.
