"It's Gio?" Dante repeated and both Alex and Henry nodded their heads yes, but then didn't say anything else. "What are you waiting for? Tell me how you know this." He snapped and they both scrambled to grab the folders from the table.
"These papers were found in his desk." Henry said and gave Dante little pieces of paper. "This is Callie's signature. He was practicing it before signing the final paper for the money."
"How do you know this wasn't planted?" Dante asked and both men froze, not knowing how to answer.
"Because when you send those type of papers, they don't need to be in person." I said and everyone looked over at me.
"See! I told you! This bitch has something to do with this." Elvanso exclaimed and Dante groaned at his annoying father.
"Shut up." Liv said and I was honestly surprised that she would talk to her father like that. I would expect Dante though. "Let her talk- and her name is Callie, not bitch." Elvanso growled and was about to get up but the men around him, stopped him.
"Mafia's are already illegal businesses so why would a paper that contains illegal business need to be in person? They don't. So Gio didn't need any ID or anything. If he did though, a piece of hair off of my clothing would've done the job." I explained.
"So smart girl- where is Gio?" A man asked me sarcastically and I could see Dante tense his jaw at the mans words. I nudged his eh with my foot and he looked over at me then leaned back into chair.
"Gio has been in the down low for awhile that way he would blend in more so it was easier to give information-"
"How do you know if he was more prominent- were you watching him or something?" Another man asked me and cut me off.
"Or working with him?" Another man asked me and I grew angry.
"She was, no chick can know this much information." Yet another man said.
"He harassed me so I kinda wanted to know what was up with him." I snapped and smacked my hand in the table to grab the men's attention. "Now can we shut up and listen to the 'chick' talk?" They all stayed silent. "Gio fled today after he heard Elvanso found a copy of the paper work and said it was me."
"But I haven't seen Gio is weeks, not in the training arena or at meal times." Some guy said.
"Im just guessing here, but he probably said he was the messenger for me. He would go out at day and come back at night then stay for a couple days but stay on the DL. But he left today because he knew someone would catch on to him."
"Like Henry and Alex?" Eric asked.
"No." I sighed and everyone looked at me confused, even Dante. But Elvanso didn't. I got up from my chair and walked over to Elvanso and grabbed the little pieces of papers that had my signature on it, on the way. "You planted these."
"Why would I fucking do that?" Elvanso hissed. "I have nothing against Gio."
"I know you don't. But you thought Gio's room was actually Tyler's." Elvanso stayed silent, "and that is simply because Tyler's Grandpa is Russian, so suspicions would go to him and not you."
"But why would he even do that in the first place? I don't get it." Eric said.
"He doesn't like me. He wants me dead. You've thought about killing me since the first time you saw me." I directed the last sentence at Elvanso.
"Because you don't mean well- I know you don't." He growled back and I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever- end of the story is: Elvanso planted the signatures to try and blame it on Tyler just to get me out of here, but Gio is the one who actually sent in the papers. And he did that because he felt like he was out of place here ever since Alex got promoted higher than him. That's it."
