"Am I unattractive?" I asked Dante, he was in the bedroom changing and I was in the bathroom. Five months and I'm noticeable. A bump. Big. How is it already this big? "I can see my feet but still."
"Kitten you're beautiful. You don't look unattractive at all." He said, is he just saying that. "Do you think Bella is pretty?"
"Glowing." I mumbled.
"She's eight months. And you looked glowing at seven months too." He walked into the room, grabbing his watch off the counter. He kissed me as he moved around, getting ready. I was too. We're going to a doctors appointment, then we're going to the other house.
Dante has been so paranoid over these five months. Like he can't let me be alone alone. If he runs out then he's fine. If he goes to the other house, I must go with him. I get why and I'm not mad. It's sweet.
Oh, and Dante goes to every doctors appointment too. I love it.
"Are you about ready?" He asked and I nodded. "You still don't have any pants on baby."
I looked down at my bare legs, then back up at him. "My jeans don't fit anymore Cherry." I huffed, "I have nothing to wear."
"Nothing?" He asked as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Nothing." I repeated. He pulled out a pair of jean shorts. "No those are too tight." Then elastic banded shorts, "Cherry those make me look so bad." Leggings next, "I already said no to elastic." Then he pulled out sweatpants. "Dante are you not listening to me? I don't know what to do."
"Then put these on." He handed me sweatpants! I just said no! I put them on, and they went over my bump, nicely, where did I get these. Oh wait, they're Dante's. I like them. They don't look that baggy either. What am I gonna look like at nine months? Hm. Something to think about.
"Gorgeous. Now we're late so let's go." He took me out of the room before I could even look at myself once more. I grabbed my phone and keys on the way out. We were actually late. By like half an hour.
Oh well.
Jamie was actually our doctor for this which was pretty good. He is super nice too. "Nice to see you two again." He said as he walked us down the all to the room we usually go in. Last time we went he actually wasn't here, but on some over night thing with Ciara so we had this other guy. Dante wasn't that fond of him.
"Pop that shirt up and let's get started." He clapped his hands together then went and got the stuff ready. I got up on the hospital bed and pulled my shirt up and Dante rolled the sweatpants under my bump. Jamie came back over and out the clear stuff on my bump, then rubbed it down slightly.
"Anything off you want to tell me about before we get going?" He asked.
"Nope. All good." I said and got comfortable on the bed. This gel shit is cold as fuck. He started with the ultrasound and I just stayed still. He was smiling at the screen then back at me. What's going on?
He was writing down some thing on a piece of paper, then began to talk to Dante about some things we could see on the screen. "No heart problems which is amazing. Everything is looking great. Over here is a leg," he pointed to the screen, "here's an arm."
Why are they so far away from each other? Maybe they aren't and I'm looking at this wrong.
"We have a rough estimate about your due date. I would say around mid February." He read off of his clip board, "right now nothing seems wrong with your birthing plan. C Section doesn't look like a possibility. Natural is going smooth."
That's great. Everything is great. More than great. Thank god.
"Let's book next appointment now. It should be next month. Maybe the 20th." He flipped his paper to a fresh one.
