(biological age: about 4 years)
"Ok, Tenny, you know the deal. Nap time then I'll get you up and we'll have some more fun," Mazikeen told the tot bouncing her as she strutted into her room, closing the door behind her.
Tenebrae nodded her head wildly. "Ok, mama," She agreed, her head falling on Mazikeens shoulder, nudging her head into the demons arm and holding on tighter to her form.
Maze smiled solemnly, brushing the tots blonde hair behind her ear and laying her down on her bed. However, that proved to be a mission as all limbs were trying their best to stay in the demons arms. Mazikeen was worried about using too much power to get the child off of her, terrified Tenebrae would accidentally end up on the walls or the ceiling again. You would think it just happened that one time, but in all honesty for maybe a month it turned into a daily thing after the first incident.
The little girls eyes did not move from the Demon as she pulled up the blankets up, tucking them in to her sides. Her hands moved to the child's face, stroking her cheek lovingly.
"Uh, Tenny, don't tell anyone but-" She began, only for the chirpy voice to interrupt.
"I wove you too, mama," The tot spoke with a smile, leaning in to the demons hand only for it to be immediately pulled back.
"Uh, yeah, whatever," Maze coughed out awkwardly, walking away and out of the room. She stopped herself, looking back in and catching those bright blue eyes in the darkness of the room. The demon was completely uncomfortable. Maze continued, "Mama woves you too."
The door shut close. Tenebrae smiled lightly into the darkness of the room, rocking on her back and ruffling the feathers of her wings until she was completely comfortable. Her eyes closed shut.
"Hello, little one," A voice called from inside the room, a figure suddenly appearing in front of the small cozy bed filled with more toys, pillows and blankets than she could possibly need.
Her eyes opened wide, a large smile gracing her face immediately at the sound, "gwam- pa!"
"Oh, shhh, we cannot be loud, remember?" He advised, wandering over and sitting at the foot of the small child's bed.
Her eyes went wise in surprise. "Oh, shhhh," She mimicked straight after, her face forming the same small frown before turning back into her signature grin.
"You are so smart, little one," He smiled gently, watching as the small blonde tot waddled up to him.
Tenebrae stumbled across the bed. Ushering for him to pick her up the same way she had done to her father a thousand times. "Up! Up!"
"Does your dada I'm been here?" He quizzed, picking the tot up and bouncing her on his knee.
Tenebrae shook her head.
"Good, Tenebrae, not that you should keep secrets of course. One secret with Grandpa is ok, though," He smiled, pushing some of those blonde curly locks from out of her face and behind her ear. It seemed as if all of it stood up rather than doing as gravity intended.
"Mmmm hmmm,"
"What do you wish to do?" He asked, standing up with Tenebrae on his hip. She giggled with pure excitement.
