(biological age: about 12 years)
"Lu, what's wrong? Why did you summon me?" Amenadiel questioned with haste, marching up to his brothers throne.
Lucifer sat with his head in his hands on his throne, his finger tapping hastily. "I didn't know who else to call..." he spoke, his gaze trained on the floor.
"What's happened?"
He sighed loudly, "it's Tenebrae,"
"Is she alright?" He asked, his brow furrowed as he stepped closer to the devil.
"Yes, well, she's still struggling to fly and I don't know what to do. So I thought you could offer some advice, please, Amenadiel," he explained, finally looking up from the ground, "I know we have not spoken in awhile..."
The angel raised his brow suspiciously. Surely that was not all. "There's something else isn't there?"
"You could say that..." he mumbled, raising from his chair and walking past his righteous brother. Lucifer waited for a moment for his brother to catch up, before walking with him down the halls.
"What did you do?" he asked again, his arms crossing across his chest, waiting for the devils response.
"I don't really want to talk about it," he continued, looking at every door they passed rather than in his brothers eyes. It was uncomfortable, being so angered with his own actions, so embarrassed with how horridly he had handled the situation.
Amenadiel gave him a pointed look.
Lucifer sighed loudly, "fine. Ok, so..."
BANG!
"She may still be angry..." he mumbled, watching the wall in front of them shake and rumble.
Amenadiel frowned, "what happened?"
"Fine. I found myself getting entirely frustrated that Tenebrae still cannot fly and I acted less than kind," he explained shortly, leaning against the nearest wall with his arms crossed.
"What did you say to her?"
"Nothing horrible! I just asked why she had not managed to learn such a simple thing yet and it was somewhat disappointing," he continued, watching his brothers face drop in shock. How could he have done that? What was he thinking?
"Luce of course she'd be angry! I can't believe you said that to her!" he shouted at him.
"Well, I didn't mean to!"
"That doesn't matter! You still said it!"
"I know!" he huffed, rolling his eyes. Father, he felt bad enough... "Look, Amenadiel, could you please just help me. I have never seen Tenebrae so upset, she won't talk to me,"
The angel took a moment to think it over, of course he would do it. He just wasn't certain how.. "Fine,"
Lucifer sighed in relief about to speak when his brother spoke over him.
"Why were you so cruel to her?"
"I don't know... it's become so difficult the older Tenebrae has gotten. She's become so independent and headstrong, she finds an issue with everything I say and she gets so angry anytime something becomes difficult. She couldn't fly and she got angry and then I did and- it just happened..." Lucifer rambled on before taking a sudden deep breath, continuing, "she's much more than angry..."
"How so?"
"Watch." The devil ordered, walking towards his daughters door and knocking loudly, opening it slightly, "Tenebrae, it's daddy!"
