*Miami's pov*
-Tuesday, September 15, 9:00 AM-

I sat down on the benches just in time for class to start. Unlike yesterday, I was not going to be in trouble. The Sisters sat down next to me, gawking at the King like most of every girl was doing.

The King was wearing joggers and didn't have a shirt on. Yes, I repeat, he didn't have a shirt on. 'Mm, I like the sight of this,' my wolf purred as we watched him. Her and I didn't agree with most things, but we could definitely agree on this.

"Okay, class," he said, getting all the small talk to go quiet. "Today, we will be attacking our partners. Be wise not to actually harm them, but also make sure you are putting in effort. This will count towards your grade in class. Okay, get into your partners."

I got up from my seat and waved bye to the Sisters and made my way to King Edward. "Hello, sir," I bowed my head at him and got into my stance, refraining from looking towards his chest.

"Hello miss Andrews," he said and suddenly lunged at me with his arms open to grab me. I dodged it and kicked his back so that he tumbled over. I'm sure he was just surprised that I blocked his grab. Otherwise, he would have expected me to kick him down. "Well, done." From the ground he had reached over and pulled my leg from underneath me. I immediately fell on my butt. "Who taught you how to block?"

He stood up and reached his hand down to help me up, which I accepted. "Well, my twin brother Orlando taught me how to do basic moves like that. The Beta's son, taught us how to do more exotic moves, however."

"Do you miss your family?" He asked, as he stood there, his eyes entrapping mine. His gaze was intimidating, but there was a softness to them.

"Of course," I murmured looking down at our shows. "They are the best family ever. Oreo does gets on my nerves, but I don't remember a day I haven't spent with him- you know, before the Academy."

"I'm sorry that you miss your family," he said, his voice gruff, with a tinge of sadness in it. That literally broke my heart.

"Don't be sorry, King," I told him quickly, "I'm honored to be here representing my pack and my family. My mom was so happy that one of her children had made it. She had always wanted to go here, but she was never chosen."

"I don't see why she wouldn't, since she has you as a daughter she would have been perfect." He said in a whisper, though I still heard it.

My eyes widened at what he said and I stared at him with confusion. Did he really just say that? I opened my mouth to question it, but someone interrupted us.

"King Edward, sir, Amber's having a vision," a guy with blonde hair, Xavier I think, came over and said.

I turned my head from King Edward to look over where Amber had been and saw that nearly everyone was surrounding her. How the hell had I missed all of this commotion?

King Edward growled but went over and pushed through the students to get to Amber. She was swishing back and forth on her mat, her eyes fully white. She was sweating profusely and had tears streaming down her face. I actually felt bad for the bitch.

The King picked her up bridal style and took her out of the room, leaving everyone else in shock. 'I don't like him holding her.' She growled and I agreed. A jealous pit bubbled inside of my stomach.

"So," the guy next to me said and I turned my gaze to him. "I'm Xavier."

Claudine and I stared towards Professor Glace as she talked about our class about our assignment tonight. "You all will be apart of the stimulation tonight. Everyone will be surviving outside tonight. The Academy wants to see how you will do under pressure in a new environment."
