Five

(Technos Pov)

Night began once again, I left Aphrodite asleep on my sofa. I knew she'd sleep on the floor if I didn't insist on it again. I never stuck around to long after everyone falling asleep but for some reason I didn't want to leave, I could sense uneasyness in Aphrodite.

I took a seat opposite the burning fire, a book in one hand and philzas home brewed tea in the other. I Sat silently not wanting to disturb her.

A few hours went by when I finally drifted off to sleep too. But it didn't last long, I was awoken by screams. I jumped up from my chair to see Aphrodite rolling around in her sleep, she was about to hurt herself of she didn't stop. I could see the fear twisted in her face as she screamed out for help. Her words were mumbled but I could make them out pretty well.

"Aphrodite..." I whispered, I went to put my hand on her shoulder but hesitated slightly when she jerked again.

"GET AWAY!" She screamed into the sofa.

"Aphrodite you're okay it's just a dream." I tried again. This time a little more successful.

"TECHNO HELP ME PLEASE!" She screamed one last time before I grabbed her, stopping her from rolling onto the floor again. She sprung awake, confused and dazed.

"Techno?" She mumbled.

"Right here." I replied bluntly. I let go of her as she repositioned herself on the sofa, I could tell she was a little embarrassed so I went back to my chair, picking up my book once again.

"I'm sorry" she mumbled.

"It's okay." I replied again. I could tell my voice was cold.

"What are you reading?" She asked.

"A book."

"Wow. Smart ass." I laughed at her a little when she said that. A smile grew on her face at the achievement of seeing me smile.

"It's a book on ancient mythology."

"Can you...uh read some of it to me?" She was careful with her words. But I nodded in agreement and flicked to a random page.

"There was one time, where there was a big meet up with all the gods but they didn't invite -" I looked over to Aphrodite who had settled back down again. I continued on with my story but it didn't take long to see she had fallen asleep.
I decided to finish the story even if she had fallen asleep but by the time I was done the sun Had begun to rise, I yawned as I placed the book back on the side table before falling off into a deep sleep.

(Your Pov)
I awoke to the room still dark, Phil hadn't come over to cook breakfast and the windows hadn't been opened. I looked around to find technoblade asleep in the same arm chair he read to me in. I don't remember much from last night but I do remember his voice as I drifted back to sleep.

I'd never seen techno so vulnerable before. He layed there in his robe, it wrapped around him like a blanket. His crown tilted slightly as he slept. I assumed he was the one to open everything in the morning.

As a suprise I decided to make breakfast, I opened the windows first letting the sun in. It was a beautiful day outside. I assumed it was around 10am which suprised me, techno was usally done with his day by 11.
As I prepared the tea and a few snakes I heard a light knock at the door.

I didn't think about it and just went straight for the handle. I was stopped by a hand much larger than mine closing the door on me. I spun around to see techno stood inches away from me. His body practically touching mine as he peeped out the door at who it could be.
I held my breath, I could smell techno, I could feel him breathing against me. I knew he didn't notice how close he was but I sure did.

"Hey can you...uh back up?" I asked. He did straight away. Brushing his clothes slightly before opening the door again.

"Phil." He greeted. I smiled towards philza as he made his way towards the kitchen.

"What the hell!" I said loud enough for techno to hear but not enough for Phil.

"Anyone could of been behind that door Aphrodite. Think!" He shouted back in a low voice.

He was right. I didn't think. I just assumed it was philza, it was always philza. But it could of been Tommy again or ranboo or tubbo or worse, Dream.
No dreams in jail. I remind myself.

"Hey, are you listening!" Techno said. Snapping me back to reality.

"Mmhmm sorry...I didn't think."

"Damn right you didn't."

"WHO COOKED BREAKFAST!?" Philza shouted from the other end of the room.

"That would be me." I replied proudly.

"MATE THATS SO SWEET." He seemed genuinely happy someone had done something for him for once.

He insisted we all sat down together to enjoy what I had made. It was no where near as good as Phil's food but we all ate peacefully anyway.

"I'm training today." Techno announced.

"Okay mate?" Phil responded a little confused. He knew techno trained every day why did he need to announce it now.

"And Aphrodite is joining me."

"Aphrodite?"

"I am?" I asked

"Oh" Phil laughed remembering my nickname.

"Yes. You are. You need it." Techno said before standing."Come on." He insisted as he left the house.
