y/n's pov:
i've had a crush on vinnie since forever (forever = since childhood and we're 18 now). he is kind of popular and i'm the total opposite so i know i don't have a chance.

anyways prom is coming up and mostly everyone has been asked to go or are going to be asked pretty soon. i'm not planning on going because i don't want to go alone, also meaning i have no one to go with, besides i would have to get a dress last minute.

*skip to lunch*

i feel like everyone has been acting weird today including my best friend (avani) and all i can say is i am so confused.

i went to the cafeteria to get food and meet avani but she just grabbed me and dragged me towards the gym. at the doorway was a girl i never talk to with a pink rose in her hand she soon handed it to me. the next person was holding a sign reading "will" then again the next person had a rose this pattern kept going with 4 more signs saying "you""accompany""me""to" then it stopped but someone was in the distance.

i stopped in my tracks realising what was happening and i couldnt believe it but avani pushed me forward.

there he was, with a sign saying "prom?" written in bright pink letters. i was flabbergasted. then vinnie approached me with a smirk on his face.

he spoke with a soft yet sarcastic kind of voice "y/n would you please do the honours and accompany me to prom?" "eh ye-yes" i stuttered, everyone cheered as we hugged.

in Ireland prom is 'the debs' so this kind of confused me and I'm not a fan of this chapter.
i also love the word flabbergasted.
