5 years later...

"Congratulations, Ms. Guerrero. We're so honored to have this partnership with Innova Company."

This is it. I finally made it. Building my own company wasn't easy, after all.

I faced so many criticisms in my prior business. In my early years, I experienced loss and hope. I almost give up on building my name. I thought I could just be an employee in other's company nalang. But thanks to this company, Architech, for constantly promoting my company to other investors, and to some big clients. 

Now, Innova Company is continually rising on the charts together with other bigger companies in the same field. 

Innova focuses on construction labor and services mainly construction, reconstruction, demolition, alteration, repair, and other improvements to real properties. Good thing we now have Architech, they're now in charge of the designs.

"What are you talking about, Mr. Sia? Without Architech, we wouldn't be here shaking hands. We're the ones feeling so honored to finally have this long-awaited partnership with Architech."

Minsan nga napapa-isip nalang ako kung crush ba ako nitong si Mr. Sia dahil palagi itong nag-o-offer ng partnership, kahit kakasimula ko palang naman at konti pa lang ang team ko. But kidding aside, I'm so grateful to him for helping us. He became a good friend din naman. 

Hindi ko lang alam kung si Mr. Sia ba talaga ang nag-recommend ng company ko sa Architech o ang mismong boss nila ang nakapansin sa amin. Hindi ko pa naman nakikilala ang kanilang CEO.

"What about a dinner for celebration with our team, Mr. Sia?" 

I looked around the function hall and saw some hope in the eyes of my employees. Kahit kakasimula palang ng Innova, they put their trust on it, on me. Their efforts and loyalty are very much appreciated kaya I can't dare to fail them. This is a big catch for us. 

"Too formal naman, Soleil. I'll just inform my team. Should we rent the whole bar?" 

He's talking about the 4th District Bar kung saan lagi akong tumatambay noon dahil sa frustrations ko sa previous company. And he's unknowingly on the same bar every time nagse-senti ako doon. 

Tumango ako dahil tingin ko nga ay mapupuno ang bar sa dami ng aming team. 

"Ano ka ba! Siyempre, respected director ka ng Architech. Alangan namang tawagin nalang kitang 'Hoy Baste!'. Muntanga lang."

But I usually call him Baste naman talaga kasi feeling close siya masyado.

"I'll try to ask our CEO if they're coming with us." and excuses himself. 

I have never met their CEO. Palaging si Baste or yung ibang director ang pinapadala sa meetings and gatherings. It's such a mystery na ang isang sikat at successful na company ay nag-abala pang hikayatin ang company namin eh kasisimula pa nga lang. Not that I'm doubting my team's effectiveness or the company's but you know? Nakakapangduda lang.

Hindi ko na rin sinubukang tanungin ulit dahil ang sabi ni Baste, it is Architech's privacy policies.

But now, maybe this is the chance na ma-meet ko sa wakas ang kanilang CEO at nang makapagpasalamat ako ng personal. They're a great help. Really. 

I felt my phone beeped inside my blazer pocket.

Hey sorry for leaving. The board called for a brief online meeting kasi. But no worries, na-reserve ko na ang bar and I think pupunta rin ang CEO. Take care and see ya!

Finally! I just hope he or she is not that intimidating at all. 

Umuwi muna ako sa condo para maligo at magbihis. I just wore a burgundy bodycon dress and put on smokey eye makeup. I checked the wall clock. It's still 7 in the evening but I decided to leave nalang dahil hindi ko talaga gusto 'yung nahuhuli ako.
