Ohm felt a brush on his face and he glanced to his side. Laying next to him on his bed there was a figure whose face was blurry. Silver hair gently covered its smaller body and Ohm noticed they were both naked underneath the heavy blankets. Though his mind was confused, his body seemed to know this person. He noticed his hand gently caressing the stranger's face and small, sweet giggles filled his ears. It felt so warm and comfortable. Something he had never experienced with anyone.
He felt his own lips moving, but he couldn't hear anything and the silver haired boy seemed to smile behind the blurriness and also moved his lips to say something. Ohm couldn't hear nor understand a thing, but their bodies moved on their own. Just when Ohm was about to lean closer, his eyes shut open staring at his ceiling. Ohm blinked a few times as he sat up with an exhausting groan.
As far as he could remember, he had a dream of a silver haired boy almost every night. Each dream played a different scene and every image was just a blurry face. It felt like a forgotten memory, but Ohm couldn't remember ever being that intimate with someone. Starring next to his bed, he gently touched the pillow next to him, "Get a grip, Ohm." He sighed and finally decided to start his busy day.
Unlike before, the human realm and Elnelon seemed to have made an agreement to keep the peace in both worlds. Ohm had worked hard to gain the trust of the elven king, Azul, and promised to protect the portals from humans who try to enter the realm. In return the elves would share their knowledge and wisdom to them, as the elves had a long history of the two worlds. Ohm sat behind his desk and leaned his head back, closing his eyes, "Tonight is the announcement, your highness,"
Ohm hummed in reply as he knew that his prime minister, Prem, walked inside his office. He tried to hold back the engagement, but Count Kendmills seemed to lose its belief in his reign, due to the emperor prolonging the marriage between him and his daughter, Lady Saya. He wasn't against the marriage to a noble family that had supported him for quite a long time, but just his guts that told him every time not to do it. It was a political marriage, yet he felt hesitant at his own decision.
"We are in a conflict, your highness," Ohm raised an eyebrow, "What conflict?" He was confused at the way Prem looked nervous, "King Azul had sent one of his elves to relay a message." Prem sat on the edge of his desk and sighed, "To strengthen the peaceful bond between the two realms, the king offered a marriage proposal," Ohm's eyes widened, "A what!?" His body alert, "He doesn't have any children," Prem shook his head, "His daughter and grandchildren had passed away, but the king has a nephew,"
The elven royal family were much larger compared to a human family tree as they lived hundreds of years longer and produced many more offsprings. So, Ohm only remembered King Azul's family, but he had never heard of his nephew. He frowned as he leaned on his elbows, with hands clasped together, "He asked to meet his nephew first before deciding on the marriage partner," Ohm sighed as he found it very brave of everyone to order him around.
"I'll go visit tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I will marry an elf," He said and Prem just nodded. Ohm glanced outside and a breeze blew the leaves on the trees gently. He felt something growing deep inside him, but he didn't know what this meant. So, he ignored it and continued his day.
