To the side, the woman spat some blood.

Cleaning the rest of it off of her cheek using her thumb, Xipe-Totec turned to face Rui and Mittelt. The two girls were visibly tired, exhausted even, as they continued to stare forward towards The Night Drinker. With a small groan of satisfaction, Xipe's now-busted lips widened as they grew from ear-to-ear in an uncanny grin of pure malice. As her lips once more parted from one another, her gaze filled with hunger.

Once again, her jaw opened into impossible lengths, letting out her countless rows of teeth, and her seemingly-endless tongue erupting from within. Rui readied herself, spinning around another scythe in her hand as she soon aimed it towards Xipe-Totec. Mittelt also got ready, this time clasping her hands together before she parted them, watching as from within a Kusarigama came. Already, she began spinning it around.

Spinning it so fast that it didn't even make a sound, Mittelt rapidly threw her weapon forward. As the chain kept on increasing, seemingly being created on the spot, it hurled towards Xipe-Totec. Watching this, Rui was also quick to attack, and put her scythe behind her neck, supported on top of her shoulders. Wrapping her inner-arms around it, she roared as she spun around her body, releasing the grip from the scythe.

It flew towards Xipe-Totec like a black-colored saw that seemed to keep increasing in size. It wasn't long before The Night Drinker reeled her body back, and smashed her heel against the ground. On doing so, she also threw her body ahead, and her tongue swiftly moved towards the attacks aimed against her. Swaying to the side and easily avoiding the hit coming from the ever-spinning scythe, it continued to move ahead.

Swiftly, it also dodged the Kusarigama, and with its sharp pointy, it continued to dash towards Mittelt. The Fallen, however, remained still with a large smirk present on her face. Just as the tip of the attack was about to smash against her, the tongue suddenly just stopped right in front of her neck. Glancing down, Mittelt noticed the hundreds of black-colored arms and hands coming from the shadow of the tongue.

Seeing this, she was quick to act, and stepped forward, and wrapped her arm with the chain of her Kusarigama. Doing so, she reeled it back towards her, and the small dots inside Xipe-Totec's endless mouth glanced to the side. Even there, they could see the bladed part of the weapon swiftly coming back, trying to stab her in the back with it.

She glanced forward, and then down, seeing countless more hands made out of shadows grasping her legs and keeping her in place. Looking forward once more, she saw Rui standing there with her smirk present against her face. She had her right hand aimed forward, but what caught Xipe-Totec's attention wasn't that, but rather, something else entirely. But instead, the ring with a gigantic chain on Rui's finger.

Together they learned.
