I looked around the table, watching everyone. Everyone seemed to be doing the same thing, watching everyone, unsure of there role.
"I think that Black is it" Green said suddenly.
"It's not Black!" Cyan cried, glaring at Green. I was touched Cyan had come to my rescue, but also a bit guilty. I made a silent vow I wouldn't kill Cyan unless it was absolutely necessary.
In my mind I was a mental note of everyone. Green was suspicious of me at best, Cyan was on my side thankfully, I thought that all the girls would defend me, but I wasn't completely sure. The boys probably didn't trust me that much, which wasn't a surprise. I didn't really trust them either. Orange and Pink were already in the lobby. Orange for getting voted of and Pink because.... I shunned that thought. I was the imposter, it was my job. I couldn't turn back now. If I was a crewmate, I would do my best to find out who the imposter was, but I am a imposter. And imposter is supposed to kill all the crewmates. I let out a sigh, which got me a few odd looks. I looked down, planting a blank expression on my face.
Well, and almost blank one.
"I don't think it's Black" Blue agreed. I looked up, and smiled.
"Thanks" I whispered.
"I think it might be Green" Yellow said. White nodded. I almost sighed with relief, but didn't. I was glad that the other girls had come to my rescue, but I was still a bit guilty about everything. After all, I was tricking these people, who were nice to me... and almost a friend to.
"Yeah" I agreed, shoving away that guilty feeling. This time was no time for guilt.
"I could be him" said White, "but maybe not."
"I think we should go do our tasks" Purple said quietly. We all turned towards Purple, apparently most of us had forgotten he was here, me included.
I was the first one to speak after a moment of silence, "I agree. We should go do our tasks."
The rest agreed and we got up. I put on my helmet, slipping it on. Sudden instructions appeared. I followed them, taking off my helmet and turning it into a small tablet so I could use the map to get to my tasks. The rest did the same thing, and we walked towards the entrance. I typed in the passcode, and I walked out of the cafeteria, turning a corner. The other's went in other directions, and I followed it to a room with one of my fake tasks in it. I had read the instructions, so I knew that I couldn't do a tasks. I pretended to anyways, setting my tablet down and looking down on it every so often, while pretending to fix it. In truth was thinking about who my next target should be.
I couldn't do Cyan or Blue, that I didn't wanna do. Maybe I could kill Purple. People tended to forget he was there. He barely spoke at all, and almost the whole time we had been here he had only spoken a few sentences. Suddenly Purple walked in. I almost smiled, so I had to hide it by jabbing myself with a finger nail. Purple was looking down at his feet, as we walked right past a vent. I pretended to walk outside, and found no one. I turned towards Purple, who had a worried expression on his face as I turned towards him.
I took out my knife, and he watched in horror, backing up against the wall. He couldn't do anything to stop it.
He fell to the ground, and flickered before disappearing. I slipped my knife back into my pocket and continued to do my task, meanwhile congratulating myself, but a bit guilty too. I put on my helmet, just as a notification appeared. I pressed it, and it took me to the mailbox. Inside there were three emails.
One was from White, around 8:45.
The second was from Blue, around 6:22.
The third was from Bit.
I opened the one from Bit. It read:
Purple has fallen.
I closed it and took of my helmet, then walked out of the room, acting like everything was normal. Suddenly, I knocked into a figure. I fell to the ground with a thump, as I heard a groan of pain. I looked at the person, and found it was Cyan.
"Hi, Cyan" I said, "sorry about that. I didn't see you there."
She got up, and shook her head. "It's fine, I was coming to tell you about the notification. Purple's dead!"
I nodded, putting a sad expression on my face. "Yeah, I saw. Sad, too. He was nice."
I felt a stab of guilt as Cyan nodded, looking equally sad, only her sadness was probably real. Part of the reason I had killed Purple was because I didn't really mind him gone, after all he never spoke and wasn't that much of a help. "Yeah."
Suddenly she brightened, "wanna do some tasks together?"
An idea popped into my head, but it wasn't a very good one. I instantly clutched my stomach, groaning with pain and pretending to hold some puke in (gross!).
"My stomach..." I groaned again, "....it hurts."
Cyan looked worried, so she grabbed me by the harm and helped me down the hall. She looked at her map as she helped me towards the medical bay were there was three robots. The robots helped with anyone was injured. I hadn't gone there before, as it was only my second day, but Purple had gone there three hours before when he had gotten a scrape from accidentally bumping against one of the pieces of equipment. I leaned on her and she took the weight.
"I'll help you, just hold on" Cyan whispered. I was touched that Cyan generally cared about me. I almost smiled, but I had to keep up the act so I groaned again and stumbled a bit. I couldn't keep this up for a few days, but I could keep it up for a few hours, which would get me out of helping her for the rest of the day. As much as I wanted to help Cyan, I didn't wanna get caught, so I went along with it.
"It hurts..." I groaned, pretending to stumble a bit. Cyan caught me. Finally we got to the medical bay, were she laid me down on a cot. I groaned one last time, and my eyes flutter close. I coughed for a few seconds, trying to keep up the act. "Thanks Cyan."
She squeezed me hands, and smiled. "I hope you get better soon."
Then she released me and called one of the bots. One of the bots rolled over to me, and then turned to Cyan who was watching.
"Please go away" the robot said. Cyan nodded, but didn't looked pleased as she was escorted out of the room by the other too bots. Then the bot near me checked my nose, eyes, mouth, ears, and throat. The bot said they were all clear, but gave me some pills.
"Take these ever 10 hours for the next 3 days, just to make sure your okay" he/she/it instructed. I nodded, and took the pills. It was about 30 minutes after Cyan left me at the medical bay, but I decided to stay for 1 hour before I left. I didn't want to risk it, I even helped the bots a bit.
I exited the medical bay, were I was instantly met with Green, and Green wasn't in a good mood.
