My high-heels made a small click-click sound as I strode confidently through the hall. My long brown hair was flowing down my back, and I had my usual black suit on and sunglasses. Most people said they were for show, but it was really because I had very light-sensitive eyes.

I got out my car as I approached the grey stainless-steal double door at the end of the hallway. I slid it through a card reader on the side of the door, and the light next to it flashed green.

"Entry approved" said a charming female voice. The doors slid open and I walked inside. The room was about 30 by 30, and had several control stations place all around it. There were many papers scattered on the floor, but even more wires leading every direction you could think of. Some were hanging limply from the ceiling, whiles others simply sat there on the floor, with no use or meaning. At the far end there was a desk. There were many papers and wires scattered on it too, with some office supplies. There were also ay least 6 different computers, all various sizes. One was as small as a book while others were as big as a large window. There was also a chair places in front of that desk, and sitting in that chair was a man like no other. He was a genius, and a military officer/doctor.

I strode up behind me, careful not to step on any of the wires. I knew stepping on any one of them would mean disaster, and might cripple the entire building if I wasn't careful.

"Hello, Conner" I said in as cold voice as I could. The man smiled, not surprised I was here. I had come hear ever single day for the past 20 years, exactly at this time. Yet none of those times, it had been ready. "Is it ready?"

"..." he hesitated for a moment.

"IS IT READY OR NOT?" I snapped, my patience thinning.

"Yes, it's ready" he admitted.

"Finally" I whispered, "I shall have my wish."

"And, the ones who win..." he continued.

I laughed, "oh, the winners will have no idea what they are in for."
